Lance headed for the exit the moment he knew practice was over. Pidge and Hunk followed after.
Lance was trying to prolong Keith's inevitable attempt at getting under his skin, something that seemed to be his favorite thing to do.
"Shiro's picking all of us up," Pidge says, wrapping a green scarf around her neck.
"Thank cheese for that," Lance grumbled.
"C'mon, Lance," Hunk sighed, taking a seat next to him on the bench. "Is Keith really that bad?"
Lance huffed and crossed his legs and arms in annoyance. "Yes," he hissed. "I met him less than twenty-four hours ago and it's like it's his life's mission to bother me- I mean, he totally made me trip on that step!"
"I was actually trying to help you," he heard Keith say, turning around pointedly to glare at him as he ducked under the doorway to avoid hitting his head.
"I'm not talking to you."
"Sure," Keith laughs. "We'll see how long that last."
Headlights appear in the parking lot a moment later.
"Hop in!" A deep voice shouts cheerfully. Lance looks over the driver noticing the similarities to Keith. They were quite handsome, especially Keith. As much as he hates to admit it.
"Hungry," Keith says bluntly.
"Food at house," Shiro replies, mockingly.
Keith rolls his eyes and folds himself in the passenger seat.
Pidge climbs into the back seat, sitting herself atop hunks lap, the seat behind Keith's unavailable because the passenger seat was moved back so far, the two of them squishing Lance into the door.
"Sorry about the tight fit, guys," Shiro says, sympathetic. "Keith has to put the seat all the way back so he doesn't crush his legs."
Lance takes the opportunity to look up at Keith, noticing that despite the seat being all the way back, his knees were still firmly pressed against the dashboard. He did look quite uncomfortable.
They pull into a neighborhood Lance had seen a few times before (mainly when he went trick-or-treating because this neighborhood was well known for handing out the big candy bars.)
Hunk let out a whistle at the sight of the Kogane household. The house was huge. Two stories; a stone path to the door; big, green bushes in the yard. Lance had to admit the place was extremely nice.
There were little, solar-powered lights lining the driveway. Garden gnomes of every color, a pink plastic flamingo, and an exquisite birdbath.
"I had to get the doorways and showers modified so me and Keith would fit," Shiro laughed as he welcomed the group of teens into his home. "Help yourselves to anything and everything in the fridge or pantry, we have plenty of snacks so don't worry about taking too much."
Keith beelines for the fridge yanking it open and studying the contents before grabbing the leftover KFC bucket from the top shelf, not even bothering to warm it up before scurrying off to his room, gnawing on a drumstick.
Shiro guided the rest of them to a very spacious living room inviting them to take a seat and make themselves comfortable.
Pidge cracked open her laptop and immediately started tapping away as Hunk reclined in the armchair in the corner.
