"My mother crash landed on Earth, somewhere in Texas," Keith explained, fluffy ears flicking around as he spoke, his brow furrowing.
"She met my father and had me. I lived here with them on earth until I was five. We went to my mother's home planet for a few years, but the other Galrans out there found out that my mother had been seeing a human man and got angry."
"Why?" Hunk asked, a finger on his chin. "I mean- why do they care so much who your mom is with?"
"Because," Keith sighed. "The Galran empire is a very close-minded society. They don't take kindly to those who mate outside their race, and since my mother was a prominent face in the empire, they had a problem with it."
"They attacked us, killing my father and my mother brought me back to Earth, where she knew I'd be safe." Keith looked down at his lap angrily, "She left me here and went back to her planet. Shiro took me in."
"Your parents are aliens who brought you to earth, because an evil alien overlord decided to kill all the aliens who weren't completely Galra?" Lance clarifies, immensely confused.
"Basically," Keith sighed.
"Jesus," Hunk winced. "That's one badass backstory- I mean horribly tragic! But, totally awesome."
"Well, let's see if we can't get you back to normal," Pidge cut in, much to Shiro's agreement. She dug around in her bag and pulled out her laptop and began typing furiously.
"Do you have cool alien powers?" Lance asked. "Like E.T?"
"No, Lance," Keith grumbled. His tail flicked in a warning manner.
"Are you sure? Like, no glowy fingers-"
Keith launched a pillow at Lance's face, knocking him off the arm of the couch.
"Could you guys take your antics somewhere else?" Shiro scolded. "Katie needs to focus."
"Pidge." She corrected. "But, yes. Please take your shenanigans elsewhere."
"Fine," Lance huffed. "Can I get a snack then?"
"Of course! Keith show him where the snacks are," Shiro says, shooing them off.
Lance grumbles and stomps his socked feet as he follows Keith into the kitchen.
"We have Debbie Cakes, chips, soda, and so on and so forth. What do you want?" Keith asks, sounding bored as he leans against the counter.
Lance thinks for a moment, "What kind of chips?"
"I don't know, why don't you come look?" Keith snaps, "I'm not a butler."
"I guess not, but you owe me for bringing your homework and stuff."
"Whatever," Keith mumbles, snatching the pantry open.
"Why are you being so weird?" Lance questions. "Not too long ago you wouldn't leave me alone, now you're all rude." Lance crossed his arms over his chest, pouting.
"I'm giving you what you want, I recall you saying you couldn't stand me," he hissed. "We have Doritos, Cheetos, and plain, by the way."
"Why the sudden change of heart?" Lance continues, walking closer to Keith.
