*i made taylor's dad very strict here, so bear with me guys.*
It was early morning, and Taylor's eyelids fluttered open reluctantly, her head throbbing with each beat of her heart. The dim light filtering through her bedroom windows cast a soft glow over the room, accentuating the sterile whiteness of the walls and sheets that enveloped her. As she shifted slightly, the dull ache in her head intensified, a persistent reminder of a night that seemed distant and foggy.
Her senses gradually sharpened, and she became aware of a warmth beside her, a presence that felt simultaneously comforting and alarming. Instinctively, she turned her head, and her breath caught in her throat. There, lying beside her in nothing but his boxers, was the guys from yesterday with whom she had exchanged an argument just hours ago at the party.
Panic surged through her like a tidal wave crashing against fragile shores. Her heart raced in her chest as she struggled to comprehend the scene before her. Travis lay peacefully asleep, oblivious to the turmoil raging within her. The white sheets that covered them both suddenly felt suffocating, their pristine surface mocking the chaotic mess of thoughts in her mind.
Recognition dawned slowly, like the first rays of morning sun creeping over the horizon. Flashes of their argument at the party flickered through her memory, him smashing her cigarette , and then... darkness. What had happened after that? Did they...?
Taylor's breath quickened, her chest rising and falling with each jagged inhale. She couldn't remember. The weight of uncertainty bore down on her, a heavy burden she couldn't shake off. She wanted to scream, to banish the creeping dread that threatened to consume her.
And then she did scream.
The sound tore through the early morning stillness, raw with disbelief and terror. It echoed off the walls, a piercing cry that shattered the fragile tranquility of the moment. Travis stirred beside her, abruptly jolted awake by the intensity of her scream, then equally shocked as he realized the situation. His initial confusion turned to panic as he scrambled to understand what had happened. They stared at each other, both equally lost and terrified.
"What... What happened...?" Travis managed to stammer, his heart racing with sudden fear. He sat up abruptly, scanning the unfamiliar surroundings. The sterile white walls of Taylor's apartment offered no clues, only amplifying the disorientation.
Taylor's voice cracked as she struggled to find words amidst her panic. " I... I don't know. I don't remember anything from last night," she confessed, her hands shaking visibly.
Travis felt a surge of panic rise within him. He tried to piece together the events of the previous evening, but everything was a haze. "We argued... at the party," he muttered, more to himself than to Taylor. "But after that, I... I don't know."
Their eyes locked in a shared moment of disbelief and unease. The air between them crackled with uncertainty and an unspoken question hung heavy: Did they really...?
Taylor's voice wavered as she spoke, her words laced with fear and confusion. "please tell me we didn't... that we didn't..."
Travis shook his head vehemently, his own mind racing. "I... I don't know. I just woke up like you did," he admitted, his voice raw with anxiety.
They sat there in silence for a few moments, the weight of the situation pressing down on them. Travis finally broke the silence, his voice tinged with desperation. "We need to figure this out," he said, more to himself than to Taylor. "Before... before anyone else finds out."
