prologue

3rd person pov
*1983*
The young girl stood nervous by the door of the classroom as she had recently moved schools after her farther got a job promotion "hi there sweetheart are you okay?" The teacher asked and the girl nods. The teacher could tell the girl was nervous "luke could you come over here please?!" The teacher called out and a boy her ages came over "would you be so kind as be our new students buddy?" The teacher asked and it even since then that Charlotte and luke became best friends and luke introduced her to his other friends Alex, Reggie and Bobby. The 5 of them where always seen together and their friendship only grew stronger as they grew up but eventually Charlotte her feelings towards reggie shift to something else entirely. At age 13 the boys started a band and Charlotte was a huge supporter tho she wished she could be in said band, when the school talent show came around she decided to secretly sign up bring on her guitar. She waits backstage and when she called on she walked up ignoring the stares she got from the boys, she takes a deep breath and starts stumming her guitar

Apon walking off stage she was bombarded by the boys "why did you never say you could sing?!" Luke asked her "well I just felt really nervous about it 1 because I didn't think I was that good and 2 you know how my parents feel about music being more then just something you listen to" I say. My parents did exactly see music as a proper career choice and they made that very clear especially ever since the guys started their band "well you were amazing!" Alex says making her smile "thanks Alex" she says as the boys all look at one another "hey Char.....how would you feel about joining our band?" Luke asked with a slight smirk. She almost couldn't believe it "are you serious?" She asked them "definitely, you clearly have the passion for music" luke says "and the voice of an angel" reggie says making me blush a little bit.

It was on Charlotte's 16th birthday while hanging out with the guys that reggie gets her attention "so um I have something I wanna ask you" he says and the girl turns to him "yea reg?" She asked smiling "well I ummmm......" he gets inrrupted by Alex "he wants you to be his girlfriend" he says. Charlotte couldn't believe it "so?" Reggie asked her and she simply kissed his cheek "does that awnser you question babe" she says and reg gets this big goofy smile on his face "well its about time!" Bobby says making charlotte giggle a little bit. The next year was amazing but it was made even better when they were rehearsing for a show at the Orpheum which is huge for them especially since a loads of bands became extremely popular after playing this theatre.
