chapter 6: flying solo part 2

Charlotte's pov
I was the first poof back in the garage and I sat myself down on the couch just trying go fully process all that's happened when I see the guys poof back in as well with reggie siting next to me right away "can I ask you something?" He asked me and after giving him a smile I nod. He takes a deep breath "what exactly happened between our death and yours?" He asked and I had to look away to try and not cry "I don't wanna talk about Reg, I'm not ready to say anything" I said softly while letting out a sigh. I look back at him seeing his beautifully smile "I understand" he says and for the next 10 minutes Alex was pacing back and forth "I think he's practicing his model sturt" Reggie spoke. I got up to try and comfort Alex "Okay, look," Alex said as he turned to them. "You guys know I don't handle change well, All right? Death? That was a change, Okay? Then we became ghosts, All right? Another change And... and now not only is Charlotte also a ghost, but we can be seen whenever we play with Julie. Big freaking change!". "Yeah, but, bro, it was a good change," Luke insisted. "With Julie, we can play on stage again and be the band we never got to be" "He's got a point, Alex," i said, my voice soft as i watched my best friend. His eyes met my own and i gave him a sympathetic smile. "This is all new and it's all weird, But it's going to be okay, Want to know how I know that?" Alex hesitated before nodding his head. I smiled softly and gently holding onto the blonde's arm and gesturing towards the four of us. "Because we've got each other, No one is going to have to go through any of this alone" "Come on, I mean you gotta be down for that" Luke added. "Yeah, I mean, who wouldn't be?" Alex asked before gently pulling away from me "I just. . you know, i wanna
figure out why"

"Forget why" Luke said as he stood "Okay, I agree with the whole inviting
Julie to join Sunset Curve, but I don't
think it's the best idea to push aside
the why. Aren't you curious as to why
this is all happening? Or how it is for
that matter? We died, Luke, and then
we came back and can still be seen
and heard. You aren't the slightest bit
curious?" I asked. "Of course I am, but all I can think about right now is how we can be seen when we play with Julie, Inviting her to join the band is the next logical step, right?" Luke asked. "Yeah, totally, I mean, like, think about it, With a new lead singer, this band would be legendary,' Reggie said, standing up as well and causing luke to frown. "Hey!" Luke exclaimed. "I'm our lead singer" he continues "Dude, that girl has the voice of an angel," Reggie said before looking towards me. "Not as angelic as your voice tho love, Like there's no doubt about it. I mean with your voice and the way you can shred the guitar and your- " He paused once he realized he was rambling and let out an awkward chuckle while i smiled with rosy cheeks."But Julie can make us visible. Without her, we're just like elevator music" "You don't gotta be so mean about it" Luke insisted before the three then noticed Alex who was pacing once again "And we're on the runway again". "Okay, I'm sorry, all right? I just. ..I gotta go clear my head," Alex said as he turned and began to walk away "Alex," i began, my voice filled with concern as i went to reach out for the boy "I'Il be fine char I promise, Not like anything can happen to me anyways, I'm already dead" Alex muttered before cringing at his own words and hurrying towards the door. He reached for the handle only to have his hand fly through it. The blonde inhaled sharply before trying again, his hand still passing through the handle. "Dude, you're a ghost. Just poof out" Reggie told him.

"Don't tell me how to ghost!" Alex exclaimed in frustration while Reggie shut his mouth. The blonde turned back towards the door and stared at the handle before just taking a deep
breath and poofing away. The three stood there for a moment, I staring at the spot Alex had just been while Reggie and Luke exchanged a look. "Don't,'' Luke said, glancing towards me as I was frowning "But he shouldn't have to be alone," i whispered, looking towards the two "No one should have to." "I know char" Luke sighed. "But he just needs some time to think." "He'll be back soon, okay? Then you can talk to him if you want. Just give him a little bit" Reggie told me.
