Liam laughs at Ruby through heavy breaths and says,"You can't save yourself much less than the city just give up." Trying to convince Ruby to let him win.
Ruby's POV:
Ruby looks up to him to see such a confident smug smile on his face that just makes you want to punch him, and the way he looks at her sends a shiver down her spine. He has always mocked her skills of being a hero, but this time, he really meant it. She wanted to give him a smart remark back, but she didn't have the energy to speak, so she just looked at him in silence while he laughed at her failure.
