New Orleans: The fledgling Louis
Stepping off the train in New Orleans, the sights and sounds of her beloved city enveloped her like a warm embrace. Eliana was finally back after a long two years. The sweet scent of magnolia blossoms mixed with the spicy aroma of gumbo filled the air, stirring up treasured memories. As she made her way through the bustling French Quarter, familiar faces greeted her with knowing smiles and other simply wanted to converse on her musical adventure, she obliged them all. Reaching her family home, the porch swing creaked in welcome as she settled into its comforting embrace. Watching the sun dip below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of purple and gold, she knew that no matter where life took her, New Orleans would always be the place she called home.
Her family rushed out to greet her upon hearing the creek of the swing and the good times ensued.
It wasn't long before Eliana had the burning desire to meet up with an old friend in the cool basking of night. It could be that everytime she visited town things would quickly become sensual between the two, and it could also be that this was the longest she had stayed away and she just misses him dearly—Both could be true. She had went to his mom's home to see what had changed and unfortunately a lot had changed and this concerned her.
She knocked timidly at first, but followed up with a rapid one to gather the attention of those who occupied the home of the address she was given.
The door swung open and that familiar face eases her fears. She let out the breath she was holding and he smiled his usual charming smile.
