"Louis has been a bit distant with me" Eliana removed her mouth from the wrist of the woman she met in a dress shop. Lestat took her hunting nightly and to them, most importantly him, it was the best time for the two to become closer.

"He blames himself and he wallows in it until he can somehow cope" Lestat held out a hand for the woman to stand to her feet and took his handkerchief to wipe the corners of her mouth. "You needn't feel dismayed by this"

Lestat was obsessed with making sure he handled her with the utmost care. He treated her so delicately even when he knew that she could be equally unhinged and chaotic. This is what made him enamored with her. The duality was electric.

"I'll talk to him"
"Hurry back to me" He pressed a soft kiss to her cheek. "You and Louis"

The opulent candlelight flickered in the dim parlor, casting soft shadows that danced on the walls. Louis sat with a heavy heart, his thoughts swirling like the smoke from the nearby candelabra. Night after night, he wrestled with the implications of what it meant to love someone who was now like him—undying.

Eliana had once been a vibrant human, a beacon of warmth and laughter that seemed to infuse even the darkest corners of his spirit. After her transformation, he had watched her evolve into a creature of beauty and darkness, her essence still captivating. Yet, a pall hung over their love, one that left him grappling with his own turmoil.

As he absently traced the rim of his glass with a slender finger, he recalled the fleeting moments they shared—the soft caress of her hand, the way she would tilt her head back and laugh, carefree and intoxicating. She was still the same Eliana, yet he couldn't shake the feeling of loss, the shadow of her mortal life hanging heavily over him.

He blamed himself for it all.

"Why do you look so melancholic?" Her voice, rich with amusement, broke through his reverie. He turned to see her leaning against the doorframe, the pale moonlight casting an ethereal glow around her. Her eyes sparkled like the sun, vibrant and alive, yet tinged with the budding wisdom of the night.

"Am I that transparent?" he replied, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Only to me," she said, stepping closer, her presence filling the space with an intoxicating energy.

He sighed, the weight of unspoken words lingering in the air. "I fear for you, Eliana. The world is filled with darkness, and I wonder if you feel it, too. Do you miss—"

"Not really," she interjected, a soft smile breaking across her face. "I miss certain things, yes, but I've never felt more alive than I do now, Louis. It's exhilarating."

Her words hung between them, and it was then, in the depths of her gaze, that Louis realized his love had not faded; it had deepened. The vulnerability she exuded, the fierceness of her spirit—it captivated him even more now that she had embraced this new life.

"Do you understand what you mean to me?" His heart pounded as he took a step closer, the distance between them vanishing. "You may be a creature of the night now, but nothing about you has dimmed. I love you, Eliana, more than I ever thought possible."

She searched his face, her honey eyes shimmering with something profound. "And I love you, Louis. We are bound by our choices, by our existence. This new life enables me to be free in ways I never was."

He knew: love transcended the boundaries of mortality and immortality. Their bond was eternal, forged in the very flames of their shared experiences growing up and the ones to come along their timeline.

"Now if you could just stop moping and be okay again. I want my charismatic, lover boy Lou back" Eliana coos, cupping his face to see those saddened puppy eyes. "After tonight I don't want another apology or you to blame yourself"

It had been a full 72 hours of her being reborn and she was taking to the Newfound life unnervingly well.

"Only because you asked so nicely" Louis grins but gives her a calm look immediately after. "I'll only stop if you promise to never hate me for this"

Eliana felt more alive than ever. The first time she tasted blood, it was an electric sensation that coursed through her veins, awakening a primal hunger she never knew she possessed. Her life prior had been more instances of feeling her power but never quite using it to her advantage causing her to be trampled over like some haphazard door mat.

As she navigated her newfound powers and immortality, Eliana grappled with the duality of her existence - the eternal curse and the gift of endless possibilities that came with being a creature of the night. She figured the world was her oyster, albeit limited, she would conquer all that she could.

Despite the challenges and temptations, she embraced her fate with a fierce determination, eager to carve her own path in the world of shadows. The only pang of pain in her heart being the limits to her growth in music. It was only so much she could accomplish at night and she struggled with what steps to make next in pursuit of it.

"I won't hate you, My decisions are my own." She sighs but then smiles and grabs his hands pulling him to his feet. "If one thing doesn't work out then you know I'll find something that will"

"Just don't run off once you do Eli"

The woman only smiles before taking his hand and pulling him out the parlor and down the street.

"I've taken a few rats and fattened them up over the past two days with fruits and oats as a peace offering" She says, her tone full of banter. "One day you'll learn to be okay with feeding from humans, it's a necessity. Rats are a punishment"

Louis rolls his eyes chuckling and snacked an arm around her waist, "and until then, Thank you."

He pulls her in for a kiss.

"Save some for me" Lestat calls out leaning over the balcony of their home. The two look up grinning.

"Plenty where that came from" Lou responds, picking the woman up off her feet and carrying her inside to merriment but she had many thoughts on her mind.

She had so much going for her prior to her newfound life. It was daunting trying to peice back together her desires for fame and bind them to her undying existence.

However, that was tomorrow's problem.
