Eliana laid atop Lestat as he lightly stroked the smoothness of her hair. She was torn and feeling the weight of her choices. Her new life and her love of music simply could not coexist...

"I'm torn Les.." She whispered, "This is too hard a decision to make so soon."
"Well I can give a simple answer, mon Ami. I forbid you go." It truly was simple for him to say on her behalf.

He had just turned her and was feeling the blossoming of what could be beautiful and the threat of taking it away before it had a chance to fully bloom was absolutely revolting. He truly wouldn't have it.

She chuckled with the little strength she had as the emotional toll reared its head.

"Not so simple my love, I mourn my life."
"And this is what I was afraid of Eli." Louis says, she could hear the scowl on his face. "When the high of the change wears off all you have is the pain of what has to be left behind."

She reached her hand to pat his chest aiming to soothe his worries or rather her own. The trio were tangled into one another with just their bodies and the sheets. She had over estimated herself and it truly was just as he said.

"I do not mean my life literally, my love for music is what ails me" She starts but her words fall short, "I'm just afraid you'll end up being right Louis"

He held her from behind hoping to soothe her. Despite her eagerness to be pleased with what she chosen, he knew that she would before long suffer the same turmoil he had. Except, she will soon realize there is more she has lost than gained.

That night, when Eliana showed up to meet the band, things had become tense. The band had their reservations about Eliana's sudden change. They were scheduled to leave today after their sets. The group had been home for a full week which was considerably longer than other states. It was contractual to complete four nights in any city they're in at least.

She sold her soul to the devil.
She let the man sign her life away.
The devil has a hold of her now.
I imagine sleeping your way to the top would change you...
Must've went to see the voodoo lady, look at them eyes...

Eliana listened to these rumors determining if she would become belligerent to the bed of lies or let them simmer.

"We're set to return to New York in about an hour. Everything in order before we go?" The question was thrown out there for all to hear but she could feel it was one they wanted her to answer.

The woman pressed her lips into a firm line as she quickly glanced around the room.

"You all should just say what you're thinking" Eliana demanded..

The men all in unison began to let the words swarming their thoughts spill out of their mouths. Their eyes glazed over and she flinched back in horror at what they were doing, unaware of what caused it.

"Stop!"

It became silent and it was as if they all gained consciousness again.

"What the hell just happened" One asked, shaken and she frowned slightly.

She had been just as confused as they were.

"Y'all were chanting complete nonesense. You're all out of your minds" Eliana huffed. "But I've come to say that you all go on without me and I'll be down in a week"

She was lying. It was hard to tell the truth when the reasoning seemed so far stretched that the men would nearly petition to have her thrown in the asylum for the fear of her losing her mind.

"Why a week later?"

There was no answer she could give that would appease their worries. Eliana only spoke in circles and the time for questioning dwindled down into nothing as the train was gearing to leave.

Soon.

Was the only solace she could give and with that the band departed, full of dismay.

In the ever bustling of New Orleans nightlife, Lestat and Louis stood on the open terrace of their home, looking down at the humans like the royalty there were, in amusement at their drunken actions.

And just a ways down the street they could see their love coming back to them.

"Good" Lestat claps his hands in delight. "Thought I would need to make things complicated"

Louis gave a sideways glance for a split moment before trailing his eyes back to Eliana. She stopped just under a lamppost and looked up to reveal the most heartwarming smile she could muster at them. It felt as if she barred her soul to them in that smile, amidst her affliction. The air crackled with a welcomed tension, Eliana had just entered their lives, a presence both intoxicating and grounding.

The soft glow of the light reflected in her honey brown eyes, shimmering like molten gold. Lestat felt a familiar thrill, a rush of energy that surged through him. The way her gaze met his, fierce yet tender, stirred something primal within him. He took a step closer, daring to come over the balcony, intoxicated by the warmth of her essence, an elixir that silenced the hunger of the night.

Louis, ever the brooding soul, felt his heart quicken, something long dormant awakening at the sight of Eliana. Her eyes, filled with depth and naivety, offered him solace amidst the chaos of his existence. It was an exhilarating mix of fear and longing, each glance a promise, each soft smile a beacon in his darkness.

The allure of her gaze bound them in a way that transcended both human and vampire emotions. In those moments, the world faded, leaving only the intoxicating connection that sparked between them, igniting a passionate fire.

"What is it you're doing Eliana," Lestat whispered, the thrill of her presence coursing through his veins, while Louis, with a softer tone, added, "We can feel EVERYTHING you're feeling right now."

Eliana laughed, and the spell deepened.

"I've just found out I can do these tricks. Do you not enjoy my emotions" She replied chuckling.

"Let get out tonight. I need a drink"

The night dwindled on without hitch when Lestat pulled Eliana to the side.

"This is about your music" He states and she simply blinks trying to see where this would lead.
"Figured I was hiding my emotions better than that"
"Losing your music would be akin to losing a part of yourself," he said softly, stepping closer. "Vampires we may be, but your art is timeless. It deserves to flourish."

Lestat flicked his golden hair back, he was playful and hoping to charm her. "Music is a seductive beast; let it inspire you in our world. Combine your passion with your love for us. We can create a symphony of darkness and desire together."

Eliana looked up, caught between their worlds. Louis offered warmth, while Lestat ignited her spirit. "You believe I can truly balance it all?" she whispered.

"Why would I think otherwise," Les replied, his eyes steady.

"And if not," He added with a smirk, "We'll simply turn the whole world into your dance floor."

A soft smile broke through her facade. Of course he was right. She could sing for the masses eliciting melodies as eternal and enchanting as the night.

And she would do so.
