13 ~A New Encounter~

Aditi's POV

"I won't keep you waiting for long Sweetie".....he delivered leaving me in a dome of daze.

I couldn't believe his audacity to address me in such a way....But I am not someone who is going to fall for such pretentious sweet talks....He will have to bear the consequences for sure.

I finally stepped inside the room having the assurance that once Rajnath enters the room I would not let him share the room and would immediately drive him away.

Amidst the storm of all these thoughts,I started stepping inside but stumbled a bit on noticing the rosy bed......It looked as if it was a wedding night.

I grinned at my dumb thought and started to stare at my surroundings......a moment later something struck my mind and I immediately turned to bed realizing my folly...""Ohh wait,it's indeed a wedding night....how could this happen...." I got carried away for a moment in a wave of uncertainty regarding the event....But it didn't take me long to realise that I have been acting like a weakling worrying about the night when I am pretty sure of what I am capable of.

I gathered myself saying "Look Aditi,it's fine.It's so pathetic of Rajnath to arrange for all of these rituals despite knowing the kind of woman you are....You are not going to accept anything here taking place against your will....anything which would stain your heart or honour.And remember you can defend yourself and teach him a lesson if at all he tries to cross the barrier....so stay calm ""...

I reassured myself and started to decode the ambience of the place.I took a few steps back to almost at the entrance...this time not to get lost in my useless thoughts of what is going to happen the night ahead but to observe the place to the minute details possible.

The long decors at the entrance dressing up the doors, the straight path leading to the bed which is encircled in the arms of the curly curtains,the dressing table with a mirror to the left corner of the room and the balcony to the extreme right half of the room.

There was another couch close to balcony,where a table was placed filled with fruits and other eatables...The room was so spacious and it was lit on either sides by the flickering flames which were trying to survive against the wild wind entering from the balcony.

There were also curtains separating the room from balcony but now they remain rolled up.

The left side of the room has a separate pathway  which would further lead to....probably the private chamber.

The arrangement of the room is quite different as compared to those in our Parvan kingdom.

Just then,I heard a girly voice,"I hope I can get in...."I got startled for a moment having no idea who it is.

"Yes,but please let me know who you are..."I said.

She entered the room.

She is supposed to be a Princess by her appearance.Noticing my doubtful looks to figure her identity,she must have decided to reveal it by herself.

"I am Naina Chanver,sister of your husband."she said trying to maintain a kind of dignity as if it were to scare me which obviously didn't suit her....and what is that?!My husband?!! the term caused a bit discomfort which I didn't make an attempt to hide.

"Oh...I see.Accept my pranams...Princess Naina Chanver.I didn't know Prince Rajnath Ishan Chanver had got a younger sister.Anyways,good to meet you."I managed to say despite the fact that I was least interested to get acquainted with new people with the state of mind I was in at the moment.

She perhaps understood my situation when she said,"You must be tired of the journey I guess and also it's not appropriate of me to sneak into the room of your wedding night this way...." She continued....

I was shocked when she said,"I was actually here to meet you and decide if you deserve to be called my bhabi or not but for now I think you will have to get yourself some rest....And you can get changed,I have also brought some clothes for you..." She signalled a maid who handed over a set of lehenga which is supposed to be worn for this occasion and an other pairs of casual wear.I couldn't get happier on finally seeing the light clothes since I have been carrying this heavy attire all day.

""Bhai was right that you are pretty but for me to accept you as my bhabi,I will have to know your worth first.Let's meet some other time to get to know you better.Let's see if the Parvan Princess can get her place in Chanver's Palace....""she tried to act serious and sound superior.....but for me she clearly seemed to be a child who is trying to be strict and show her stubbornness to make her parents believe that she is a grown up.

She seemed a bit naive,empathetic and cute at the same time though she is sounding to be rude.

I could say nothing but,"Thank you for your concern Princess Naina.You are so understanding.I haven't expected that a person like Rajnath had such a kind sister...."

"What do you mean?I am not on your side.You get that.This is the basic courtesy which anyone would deserve in our Palace.Don't conclude that I have accepted you as my bhabi.....you are underestimating me and don't dare to speak against my Bhai."She sounded even more youthful that I couldn't help but swallow my smile arising due to her so called threatening outlook.

I tried to act as if I were influenced by her warnings and said in a trembling way,"Ohh...please don't get angry.I didn't mean that.I would be careful from now on.Thanks for checking up on me.Good night Princess."

She seemed to have achieved her mission as I delivered those timid words,and she spoke in a proud voice,"Yes,you better watch what you say next time.All wouldn't be as kind as me.I will get going now....."

She left drawing some smooth smiles on my face.I didn't know such people existed in here.She is the first person who made me smile in the entire day.Thanks to her that I could finally get dressed into something comfortable.

I finally got dressed up in a casual lehenga....though I knew that it is not the one intended to wear for the night.

As I entered the chamber after freshing up,I witnessed Ishan staring at the bed.

"How could you enter my chamber when I made it evident that I had no intentions of sharing the room with you?"I said without hesitation.

"You might not be having such intentions Sweetie but I certainly do......"

He shut the entrance of the room turned to my way and stepped forward....

He started approaching me with tender yet tentative steps echoing amidst of the hushing wind...with penetrative eyes revealing an undefined emotion accompanied by an intense breath which I could feel though he is at a distance....

Any of this didn't seem be so casual or usual....
