-Obanai POV-
I was walking down the hallways leading to the dorms when I saw the girl I'd just made a business deal with, crying. What is that girl crying about now. Don't tell me she still misses that Hikaru.
I stepped in front of her, but she didn't notice me so I asked,
"Why are you crying?"
She looked up with a start, immediately drying her tears. She opened and closed her mouth. "Well?" I asked impatiently.
-Your POV-
"Well?" he asked impatiently.
Watch your tone, psycho.
I can't tell him. Not yet. He'd just abandon me. I'll lie.
But what?
"I'm crying because you hit me too hard!" you blurted out. Crap, that makes me look so weak.
He looked momentarily shocked. Then he shuffled uncomfortably on his feet. You waited expectantly for him to apologize.
"Sorry", he muttered.
You couldn't believe the great Obanai was apologizing to you, but you wanted to make the best of this moment. You smirked internally.
"Didn't catch that", you said innocently.
"I said, I'm SORRY", he said impatiently.
You smiled and told him it was fine, feeling a twist of guilt at what you were hiding from him. You said, "Still remember our deal psycho? Meet me in the morning at Kanzaki's Diner. (That's Aoi's diner) Tomorrow should be a free day. OK? We'll discuss... battle strategy".
Obanai nearly laughed at your choice of words. It was kind of like a battle- a battle against love.
But would they win it?
