The way to her apartment was familiar now, basically memorised. Turn left, straight forward for a bit, go right, so on. It wasn't the nicest place ever but it was her home and Chinami had grown to quite like it. At first she struggled with living by herself, but after a few months she had found how to manage. Chinami unlocked the front door, pushing it open with her foot as both her arms were full with bags of various sizes. Almost immediately a loud meow sounded from a few paces in front, the gentle tinkle of bell along with it. The tanned girl smiled down at her black cat, placing her bags onto the kitchen counter and shutting the front door.
"Cosmo! Come here baby!" She cooed at the already approaching cat, scooping him up in her arms as soon as he got close enough. After giving him a quick kiss on the head, she carefully balanced the cat in her shoulder as she moved further into the flat.
"Today has been a long day huh? You know, at work this little girl got all mad at me for not being able to serve her, but get this, she was trying to pay cash at a card only till!" She complained to her feline friend. Perfectly balancing herself and the cat on her shoulder, Chinami took off her shoes, placing them onto the shoe rack by the bathroom door. Almost immediately her feet moved upwards onto her tiptoes. It was a habit she picked up at a young age, walking around like that.
"It took me like a good five minutes to make her go to a different till and I'll tell you I wasn't the only one getting annoyed with her, you should've seen the row of people behind!" The copper rose haired girl sighed. Cosmo, ever the helpful cat, meowed in sympathy to her complaints of her day.
"Oh and don't even get me started about school," she groaned, putting her cat down to change out of her work uniform, "Me and Yui were minding our own business when that jerk Mineta began making his usual series of comments about us." Cosmo dutifully followed Chinami as she made her way into her room, school bag in hand.
"Thankfully Reiko showed up and sent him flying. Quite literally." She chuckled to herself, a small smile appearing on her lips. However, it didn't last long as she turned on her laptop, ready to do some homework for the night. After waiting the few minutes it took for her, old might I add, laptop to even turn on, she was surprised to see she had one new email. To the normal girl her age this wouldn't be weird, but for Chinami and her total of two friends, who didn't even have her email, it was far from odd. Bringing Cosmo onto her lap where he curled up silently, she clicked on her mail to view the email waiting for her. Almost straight away her eyes went wide and her mouth opened ever so slightly.

Chinami was at a loss for words. She was going to UA. Her. And yeah, she wasn't guaranteed to be apart of the hero course but she didn't really care about that. As long as she was going to that school, she was happy. Going to UA was hard for even an ordinary student, being apart of the hero course was just a plus. She plucked Cosmo out of her lap, standing as she did so before she began twirling around.
"I'm going to UA!" She whisper yelled to her cat. "You heard it here first Cosmo, Chinami Kazane, daughter of the allusive underground heroes Adagio and Seismic, is going to UA high!" If she had their numbers Chinami would definitely have called Yui and Reiko to tell them about the news but she didn't so she couldn't. Instead she made a mental note to tell them first thing tomorrow. Actually, they would have news if they made it into the entrance exam and passed the written portion. Despite being completely confident in her best friends, Chinami still couldn't help but worry for them. After all, if they made it in then all three of them would still be together in highschool.
Having gotten over her burst of excitement, Chinami took a look at her watch noticing it was almost nine and she hadn't eaten yet. And judging from his excessive meows, neither had Cosmo. With her cat trailing behind her as usual, she headed straight for the kitchen to make herself some food. She couldn't wait for tomorrow. After all, it meant she was one day closer to her dream.
