I am but a stagnant pond
Slowly draining into irrelevance
A life that seemed to be filled with promise
Is stuck in an endless loop of monotony
I have seen others shine
Their life filled with revelry
Yet here I am stuck in monotony
Drained of imagination
Down in luck
I am feeling this abysmal stagnation
Coiling around my neck.
