We were in the living room after Diego finished giving blood. Klaus sat on one couch and I sat one the couch opposite him.

"The bastard that nearly killed our sister's still out there, with Vanya. We need to go after her." Diego says looking at us.

"Vanya is not important." Five limps up.

"Hey, that's your sister. A little heartless even for you, Five." Diego tells him.

"I'm not saying I don't care about her, but if the apocalypse happens today, she dies along with the other seven billion of us." Five reminds him.

"Harold Jenkins is our first priority." I say standing up.

"I agree. Let's go." Diego nods.

"Can you guys count me out." Klaus says. "I mean, you know, no offence or whatever. It's just... I kind of feel like this is a whole lot of pressure for newly-sober me, so..."

   "You're coming." Diego tells him.

"No, no, no. I mean, I think we can all agree that my power's... I mean, it's pretty much useless. I'd just be holding you guys back."

   "Klaus, get up." Five demanded.

"You can't make me." Klaus says. I roll my eyes and look at him, suddenly forcing him to his feet with my powers. "Oh, then again, a little exercise couldn't hurt. Yeah."

It was morning, and supposedly the last day. Five, Diego, Klaus and I were standing in Harold Jenkins house. He was dead, very dead. His body was laying on the broken wooden dining table, he was covered in cuts, over a dozen knives and other objects were sticking out of his chest. There was also a patch over one of his eyes.

"It's not exactly what I was expecting." Klaus said.

"The understatement of the year." Five spoke.

"No sign of Vanya." I say, I couldn't feel her here.

"Let's get out of here before the cops come." Diego said starting to walk out with Klaus.

"In a minute." Five went over to the body pulling out the eye from his pocket. He pulled off the eye patch from Harolds face and there there was an empty eye socket left underneath.

"Come on, Five, what are you..." Diego watched.

"Ugh, wow." Klaus leaned over as Five pushed the eye in, perfect fit.

"Same eye colour, same pupil size. Guys this is it. The eye I've been carrying around for decades, it— it's found its rightful home." Five pulled the eye back out.

"We got the guy we need to kill to stop the apocalypse." Diego said.

"Yay! Let's go." Klaus went to leave again, but Diego grabbed a hold of him pulling him back.

"No, no. Wait, wait. It can't be this easy." Five pulling out the piece of paper. "Look, this is the note I got from the Commission. The one that says, 'Protect Harold Jenkins,' aka Leonard Peabody."

   "Yeah?" Diego nodded.

"But who killed him? Who did this?" I questioned.

"I have a crazy idea. Crazy, but why don't we find Vanya... ask her what happened?" As Klaus that took my arm and we Blinked away.

"No sign of Vanya." Five says as we meet the others on the stairs inside the Academy.

"She's not in any of the rooms." Diego tells us.

"She's not downstairs, either." Klaus confirms.

"I haven't felt her, and usually she's easy to sense." I say.

"Well, I'm out." Diego tells us.

"Wait. Wait. Wait..." Klaus stopped him.

"Where are you going?" Five asked. "Vanya's still out there, and so are Hazel and Cha-Cha."

"I know." Diego looks at us. "I'm gonna get my things and then I'm outta here. I got some unfinished business with those fools."

"Hey." Five call to Klaus, I look them while Diego leaves. "Did dad say anything about the apocalypse when you spoke to him? Any clues as to how it happened?"

"No. No clues." Klaus sighed. "Truly terrific shave. But no clues."

"Jeez." Five sighs and starts going down the stairs.

"You know, come to think of it, he did mention something about my potential, and how I barely even scratched the surface of my—" Klaus followed after us.

"How did he know about the apocalypse?" Five wondered.

"I don't know, but listen. This whole jumping through thing of yours, how did... How did you know how to do that?"

"I didn't." Five told him. "You'd realise that if you were actually sober."

"Hey, I am sober. I've been sober for two-almost two days now."

"Yeah, two days." I say walking to stand by one of the pillars.

"It feels like 45 years." Klaus murdered.

"Who are you kidding, Klaus? I've seen you fidgeting all day." Five tells him.

"Well, I guess we are both fighting our addictions, then." Klaus walks up to Five.

"I'm not an addict." Five defends.

"Yeah, you are. You're addicted to a drug called the apocalypse."

"You're wrong."

"First sign. Denial." Klaus smiles turning around.

Five Blinks in front of him. "You and I, we're not the same."

"I've seen that look in the eyes of someone who doesn't know who they are without there anymore." Klaus chuckles. "Trust me. You gotta just let it go." Five threw the glass eye, it shattered against the floor, walking away into the living room. I go after him. "Figuratively, but yeah, that works, too."

"One day at a time, Klaus." I tell him.

We sat at the bar table in the Academy, Five handed me a glass of margarita he freshly made.

"Well, do you think we really did it?" He asks. "Think we actually stopped the apocalypse?"

"I don't know, I hope." I say. "Now what?"

"I don't know. I'm open to suggestions." As he said that there was a knock at the door. "Eh, I'll get it."
He got up and took his margarita with him. I followed and watched from a pillar leaning against it.

"Hey, old-timer." It was Hazel, he had a gun pointed at Five.

"Do you have my sister? And... if not, would you like a margarita?" Five asked his tone calm and unbothered. "Come on."
