Alex Cabot X Reader Its ok

A/N Alex Cabot comes home to find Y/N upset so she gives her girlfriend some love and comfort.

Alex had an other long day at court and was looking forward to laying on the couch with Y/N and watch some tv however Alex wasn't expecting to come home to a sad Y/N.

"Y/N honey I'm home" Alex called out removing her coat and shoes and placing her briefcase and bag down on the hallway table. Alex thought it was a bit odd that Y/N didn't come to greet her like she normally does. "Y/N you ok?" Alex asked walking through her house looking for Y/N.

As Alex walked into the bedroom she saw Y/N curled under some blankets and could her small cries coming from the bed.

"Y/N My love what's up why you crying" Alex said gently and climbed on to the bed to join her.

"Sorry Lexi I'm just tried had a long day" Y/N responded to Alex's question. "My love I know there's more to that please talk to me" Alex said scooping up Y/N into her arms.

"I had a really tough day a work we where overworked and short staff and this guy brought his dog in but was to sick to save and I was the one who had to make the tough decisions" Y/N explained.

Alex felt her heart break she knows Y/N loves animals and that's why she became a veterinarian and that she loves to help animals in need but she also knows Y/N knows when not to let an animal suffer in pain and sickness.

"Y/N my love it's ok it's going to be ok you had a rough day but I'm here to make it all better" Alex said kissing the top of her girlfriend heads.

"I know Alex thank you" Y/N said kissing Alex back.
"I'm sorry Alex I forgot to make us some dinner"
Y/N apologised. "It's ok my love I could cook" Alex said.

"Sorry love but you're not the best cook in the world" Y/N said. Alex made a shocked look. "Hey I'm not that bad" Alex protested. Y/N lifted her eyebrow.

"Ok ok why don't we order take out" Alex suggested and Y/N agreed. As Alex went to go and order the food Y/N got out of bed and got herself cleaned up and put on some joggers and Alex's old college shirt.

"Ok food has been order, Hey isn't that my shirt?" Alex said and Y/N nodded "I got to admit it dose look good on you" Alex said pulled Y/N into a hug and they both headed downstairs to go watch some tv and eat their food.

"Alex thank you for being you and loving me" Y/N said as she cuddled into Alex. "Of course my love and thank you for being you" Alex said kissing Y/N on the forehead and after watching tv they both ended up sleeping on the couch warped up in each other's arms.

Given that Alex and Y/N had the day off together Alex decided to take Y/N to the local animal shelter to pick a furry friend for them to have as a part of their family.

"Morning my love" Alex gently said as she woke up and not long after Y/N woke up and smiled "morning Lexi". After giving each other good morning kiss Alex got up and made some coffee while Y/N got ready for the day and then Alex got herself ready as well.

"So My love I got a surprise for you today" Alex said as they both got there shoes on, "oh and what would that be" Y/N asked as she was putting on her coat.

"You will have to wait and see" Alex said as Y/N was about to protest Alex walked out the door with Y/N close behind her.

After a little walk "we have arrived" Alex said and Y/N responded with "wait really are we getting a pet?"
Y/N said with hope as Alex nodded. "Yay" Y/N said and ran straight inside as Alex followed.

"Aww my gosh they're all so very adorable" Y/N said with excitement. As they both looked at the different pets Y/N stop to look at a cat but this cat was a small little black cat with 3 legs and Y/N immediately fell in love. "Hey Alex I want this little guy" Y/N said as Alex turned to look at her and the cat "aww it's adorable and seems to really love you Y/N" Alex said watching the cat rub itself against Y/N's hand.

As alex was singing the paper work and filling the forms Y/N gently held the cat in her arms.
"Hey little guy you are so adorable hopefully you will love your new life" Y/N said gently petting the cat.

"I think we should call you midnight" Y/N said as he was a tiny ball of back fluff, "ok we're good to go" Alex said as Y/N put the cat in the pet carrier and they walked out and stop by to get the cat some stuff and toys.

Once back at the apartment Alex and Y/N set up the cat's stuff in the living room and put the cat bed in their room.

Once they were done Alex and Y/N sat on the couch and started watching tv with midnight cuddled up in Y/N's lap "thank you for this Alex" Y/N said happily.

"No problem my love anything for you" Alex said kissing Y/N which Y/N happily kissed back.
