Az's Pov

Me and Mr. Azrael- I mean, Rael moved in Mr. Azrael's penthouse a week ago!! The sorcerer dude was really cool, I don't understand why Rael kept scowling at him. He looked like he was about to rip his head off and puke him a new one. I don't get it.

But what really confuses me the most is that Mr. Azrael is rich, yet he's depressed enough to pay someone to split his sadness and happiness into two. In my personal opinion, I think it was worth it! I love you, Mr. Azrael! :)
Everything's so bright and nice and vibrant, I love the world. I'm so happy that he decided to do this. ^^

Though I'd really appreciate it if Rael didn't exist. The world would be happier.

He's always so mean to me, I'm starting to think that he embodies Mr. Azrael's anger instead of sadness XD

I walked over to the nearest grocery store, holding his card. I have no choice! He's the one who has a job. Plus, he doesn't let me go outside often, so I can't get a job of my own. Of course, being the humble and empathetic person I am, I consider his concerns. I'm so special that he doesn't want me to get affected by the world's toxic carbon dioxide. (Despite me inhaling that oxygen on a daily basis. I'm convinced that it tastes like Kool-Aid!)

Speaking of Kool-Aid, I need to get some more. The strawberry one is my favssssss:3

I tip-toed to reach the shelf containing the Kool-Aid, and soon enough, someone's hand met mine.

He quickly jerked his hand away, taking a few steps back too. I felt embarrassed. Was I dirty? Why is he going away? :(

"Ah, sorry, miss. I didn't notice you."
He laughed nervously, rubbing the back of his head. Observing him, I distinguished that he has a blue birthmark on his right cheek. It was full of swirls! Woah!!! I find that really cool, since I didn't know that birthmarks had colors. He also has long-ish raven hair. I didn't know how to describe it.

I practically beamed at him, smiling.
"No worries! I don't mind. You can take the Kool-Aid. I'm pretty sure there's more in stock.
"Heh, really? Thanks, miss."

He smiled back and grabbed the pack, rubbing a thumb over the top.
"This is for my girlfriend. She won't stop whining about the lack of Kool-Aid in the house, even though she's the one who finished the whole entire load."
"Hahaha!! My other half does that too! He keeps nagging me about it."
"...Other half?"

He tilted his head, looking a bit confused by what I was saying. Didn't he have another half too?? Y'know!! His sadness? Why is he looking at me like I tripped on a jelly sandwich and ate it?!!
"...My other half! He embodies Mr. Azrael's sadness."
"...Is that your way of saying that he's depressed?"
He smiled.

Rael IS depressed, but I don't get why this dude is so confused about it. Was this not a normal thing?

It has now occured to me that maybe he doesn't understand my words. Maybe he talks like a complex NPC that only says greetings like he's supposed to!

I decided to drop the subject for now. He checked his watch and turned back to me.
"Well, that was a riveting conversation. Thanks for the Kool-Aid, miss, but I've got to get back to my girlfriend."
He held his hand out, which I immediately shook.
"Kalex Heart. You?"
"Me?"
"Yeah, you. What's your name?" He laughed.
"Ohhh! I'm...."

I paused.
So, who am I?
Az? Az who?..

...Maybe I should just say the truth.
"Az. Just call me Az."
"It was a pleasure meeting you, Az. See you around, yeah?"
"Yeah!"
We both exchanged smiles before going our own separate ways. I walked around the store once again, looking for more Kool-Aid stocks.

I ended up having to ask an employee for a pack, since I was being a nice Samaritan and let that guy take the last one. His girlfriend needed it, anyway! :3

So what am I doing now? I'm skipping home, with practically no more money left to spend with Rael's card.

I was just grocery shopping, I swear! :(
