Lies, lies, lies, all these boys spewed to their friends was lies.

Jake was lying left and right to everyone he knew, saying that he was fine although it was painstakingly obvious he wasn't. I mean, it had already been two whole days since he had spoken to Sunghoon, and that was like a decade for those two. They used to be inseparable, always clinging onto one another, yapping nonstop. It was all so different, so gray and dull for everyone. None of the males even attempted to speak to one another after Jake ran away.

Instead of Sunghoon, Jake had Jungwon now. They were now really close although nothing could beat how close he was with Sunghoon. Jungwon was however starting to steal his spot now that they weren't speaking. Jake just felt so comfortable with him, he could tell him anything. He'd rant to him all day and Jungwon would sit there and listen. It felt nice and he was a good distraction from everything.

The two were conversing in the halls when Wonyoung came up to them, her hands clutched tightly on her phone. "Hi, am I bothering you two?" She greeted them with a small bow, her voice sounding a bit worried. Both males turned to her with a curious look on her face. Jungwon gave Jake wide eyes that said "Is that her?!" The older lightly whacked the other on the hand before responding to the girl, "You're good. What's up?" He gave her a kind smile despite feeling his heart break at just the sight of her. "I know we haven't introduced ourselves properly yet, but have you seen Sunghoon? It's like he's been avoiding me all day," She expressed why she had approached them. Jake was a bit confused- why would he be avoiding her? "No, we haven't talked all day," The Australian stated, shaking his head. Wonyoung looked as if she was in deep thought for a second, biting her lip briefly before nodding, "I understand, nice meeting you," She smiled softly. Jake returned the smile, "Yeah, nice meeting you...," His smile began to falter once he saw her walk away.

"Hyung, you okay?" Jungwon asked, his boba eyes looking at the other's saddened expression. "Yeah...," The older nodded, not knowing why he was even lying. — Jungwon put a comforting hand on his shoulder and patted it. "I understand, you know...?" The cat-like male spoke up, his voice sounding a bit dejected at the end. Jake nodded, just thinking it was him sympathizing with him but little did he know, Jungwon did actually understand him... he understood him way too well.

"Jakey, c'mon! Come with us~" Sunoo whined, pulling Jake by the arms, trying to get him to get up from his seat. It was now after school and Jake, Sunoo, and Ni-ki were at a park near the campus and the youngest of the three wanted to go shopping. "I don't have any money, there's no use," Jake shook his head, resisting. "We're just gonna walk around, please~?" The smiley insisted. Jake opened his mouth to refuse but Ni-ki spoke before he could, "Exactly! Don't be a party pooper." Jake rolled his eyes, letting out a deep sigh, "Fine," he huffed, his friends cheering at his agreement. "But I only agreed because I knew you wouldn't give up," He stated, standing up. The other two only shrugged before pulling him towards the mall.

"Where should we go first?" Ni-ki asked excitedly, he was waiting for an excuse to add to his closet and now the time had come. "I don't know; I don't come here often," Sunoo replied as they walked past a few stores. "Hyung, have any idea?" Ni-ki wondered, looking at him, noticing how spaced out he seemed. "Uh, hyung?" — Jake finally snapped out of it, "Oh, Uhm, I don't know," He answered, scratching his nape awkwardly as his eyes zapped around shakily. "A-are you okay?" Sunoo questioned, a look of concern and confusion on his face. "Yeah, I'm great actually. I love spending time with you guys...," He gulped quietly.

He was in fact not great. He felt it, he felt his presence. Maybe he was just being paranoid but he doubted that. He had this gut feeling that Sunghoon was there and he didn't like that at all. He didn't want to see him, not after what he had done to him. He felt so hurt and betrayed, the way that he didn't even tell him he had a girlfriend. — His friends gave him a skeptical look but didn't say much else.

They soon entered a clothing store and began to look around. "Aye~ wouldn't these look good on me?" Ni-ki said with a smirk as he held up a pair of baggy jeans. "Oo~ yes," Sunoo nodded with a smile. "Hyung, you should get some too," The youngest suggested, turning to Jake who looked out of it. "You'd look nice in these," The Japanese male continued but didn't get a response. "Uhm.. Jake?" Sunoo called out to him but got no answer. "Are you sure you're fine? You're acting weird." Jake blinked a few times before turning to his friends, "I'll be back. I have to use the bathroom," He told them, leaving before they could give an answer.

He probably looked insane to everyone he passed. His pace was rapid and it looked like he was trying to hide from someone when he didn't even know for sure if that someone was there; but people say to always trust your gut feeling, right? Sadly for him though, maybe his choice of hideout wasn't the best option. He had made his way into the bathroom which was luckily empty. He began to splash water on his face in an attempt to rid the nerves he was feeling but soon heard the door to the room open.

"Jake?"

The said male froze at the mention of his name. What was he doing there? "Listen, I can explain," The other started but Jake pushed him out of the way, leaving the bathroom even though his face was still wet. Sunghoon let out a heavy sigh, running his fingers through his hair. Had he screwed up that bad?

The Australian boy called Sunoo as he shuffled towards the exit of the mall, not wanting to seem crazy. Sunoo quickly picked up, "Hello?" — "Yeah, I gotta go, my-my parents need me," Jake lied, seemingly out of breath. "Oh, uh- are you okay?" The younger asked, worried. "Yes, I'm fine. I'll see you guys later. Tell Ni-ki I said bye," And with that, he hung up.
