chapter 1 -

India, Punjab, in a small town called Laltu, 1995

A friendgroup of 5, is trying to get VISA's, all for different reasons

Manu, is trying to go get money for her family to get their house back

Buggu, is trying to raise money for his mother to retire

Balli, is trying to raise money for his families business

Jawaria and Emaan, sisters, are trying to get into Law School, but fail, because they are 'girls'

The place they're trying to get VISA's for? England! It's the perfect home for them, so they all go to a shop, where they try to get VISA's

They all sit down
"Hello, Visa for which country?" The man asks
"London!" They all say, cheerfully

"Do you have degrees?" The man asks again
"No." They all say in unison
"Atleast 5 acres of land?"
"No."
"Good bank balance?"

"No, sir" Manu says
"Consider it done" the man says
They all look at eachother, cheerfully

The man then pulls something out of his desk,
It's a picture of a woman
"Cathrine, she's a British Citizen, a penniless junkie. She'll marry for money, then take you to London, once there, part ways." He says to Balli

Then he looks at Buggu
"And I'll get you a business VISA."
He says, "Which degree?"

"Am I able to get a doctors degree? It's been my moms dream to see me in a doctors coat" Buggu said
"Consider it done" the man said

"And where will we go?" Manu said
"Stuffed in a suitcase?"

The man shook his heads
"No madam, by sports visa, Indias Woman's wrestling team is going to the olympics, I'm friends with the coach, I'll fit you 3 in as extra players"

Emaan nodded, "how much money, sir?"

The man thought for a moment, "500,000 per head"
They looked at eachother
"Can you reduce it?" Manu asked
"To how much?" The man responded
"5.." Manu said
"That's what I said, madam, 5-" the man said before getting interrupted
"5,000. 5,000 per head" Manu said
"And the grand total will be 25,000, so technically it'll be good!" Jawaria said, trying to sound convincing
"Just go to Nepal instead, no VISA is required! Now out! Lunch break." The man said

"Fine, we'll find someone ELSE" Manu said while walking out
"But Manu-" Balli said
"He'll follow us, don't worry" Manu interrupted
And the man did, "what's your final offer?"

Manu spoke up, "I only have 5,000 saved up"
Jawaria spoke after her, "me and Emaan have 7,500 rupees, combined"

The man rolled his eyes, "go" he said as he closed the shop
"I have 10,000!" Balli said, trying to convince him
The man looks at him, "leave."
"I have 150,000!" Buggu said, which changed the man's mind
"It's my moms life's savings, I will get you the money by tomorow if you guarantee my VISA" Buggu continued
"Alright, come back tomorow and take a receipt" the man said, then looked at Emaan, Jawaria and Manu, "and madam's, find a wrestling coach, make it seem like you know atleast some stuff about wrestling!"
Manu sighed, "where will we find a coach?" she said to herself
