Chapter 9

During the duration of April taking the group of turtles to the old lair. Donnie was checking them out; watching them thru his many secret camera throughout the sewer systems. No one knows about them other than his twin. The report that the rabbit brought back to him keeps haunting his mind. He couldn't believe that their April was tied to those monster that almost destroyed the world, that his twin almost lost his life to. Donnie was so focused on the keeping watch on April he didn't noticed that his twin was waking up.

"Whooo!!" Donnie was surprised. :"Nardo?" Leo turn his head to face Donnie. He starts to giggle. "Hey Don-Tron! How is it hanging?" Leo tried to sit up but was immediately stopped by his twin. "Lay back down you dum-dum. You are still in a healing process." Donnie pressed somethin on his tech gantlet. "What did you pressed?" Leo asked. "A timer. To see how long you will stay awake. Hopefully you can stay awake long enough." Donnie started working to get the scans up and running. "Shelldon!" Donnie shouted, moments later Shelldon came flying in. "What do you need daddy-o?"

"Shelldon do you mind telling Angelo that Nardo is awake first then let the others know." Shelldon nodded before flying off. Donnie then turn towards Leo. "Try to stay awake Nardo." Donnie started to do the scanning. '"How are things?" Leo questioned trying his best to stay awake. "Well everyone is healing nicely been following your medical guidebook." Donnie waved the book in front of Leo. "It's been really helpful with everyone recovering." Donnie gently placed the book down. He knew how much these book meant to Leo. Even when he wasn't a fan on books but these were books Leo made himself when he decided to become the family medic.

"Rafa eye is healing nicely as long he take the medicine he'll be fine. Angelo arms are still giving him a bit of trouble but Draxum says with a bit of time it will heal. April, Cass and Junior are still taking over the patrols until we're ready to go." Donnie kept ranting on an how everyone is doing. "What about you Donnie? Leo grunted in pain for bit. "I'm fine Nardo, my shell is healed but my senses are very sensitive for now."

Donnie lifted himself up from the chair heading towards the drawers. "Let me change your bandage" Donnie started to unwrap the current bandage checking out Nardo wounds. "Well your wounds are healing nicely and the cracks on your shell are mending pretty well." Donnie pulled out a small container from his battle shell. Despite it being slimly he put up with it so he can apply it on Leon shell. "Luckily our mutation has good healing rate but your are working overtime. You were pretty bang up with we got you out." Donnie went silent; Leo noticed his twin mood had change. "Don?" Then he felt a hand grab a hold onto his. "Just don't do that anymore. I....We thought we lost you for good."

Donnie couldn't keep it together anymore. He surges towards Leo and gave him a hug. Leo felt pain when he received the hug but he didn't want to ruin this rare moment. Suddenly the door flung open standing at the doorway was his sweet little brother Mikey. "Leo?" Leo smiled. "Hey, Mikey! Wanna join in?" Leo extended one of his arms inviting Mikey to join in the hug before Donnie change his mind. Mikey rush towards the twins; joining in the hug. "Okay that's enough" Donnie was trying to wiggle out the hug. "Mikey did you alert everyone that Nardo was awake." Mikey eyes widened. "Ah, man! I forgot!!" Mikey quickly grabbed his phone and started texting everyone the news.

It didn't take long for Raph, Splinter and Usagi rushing into the med bay. "Hey, guys!" Leo weakly said. Raph step forward and patted Leo head. "Good to see you awake Leo. How you feeling?"

"Still feel drowsy but trying to stay awake. hopefully my head is okay." Leo pointed his head. Raph gave Leo a quick hug. Splinter then took over. "Good to see your okay my baby blue!" Placing his small hand on Leo cheek. Leo leaning towards it. "Thanks, Dad!" Leo then made eye contact to Usagi. "Hey, wasn't expecting to see you here Yuuchii. Surprised Don-Tron let you in here."
