Classes were over, and there was no homework for tomorrow. "Wanna go to the mall?" I turned my head to Hyerin as she asked me that. I smiled "I'll take it as a yes" "It is a yes, but we can't go in the university's uniform, let's go home and get ready. Plus, we don't have money on us" "Gosh, you're always a step ahead of me".
Then, we both went our ways to our houses and got ready. I styled my hair, did my makeup and changed into some fashionable clothes.

It was almost time to meet up. I left my house and walked to the mall, since it was a few steps away from me. While waiting for Hyerin to show up, I started thinking where we could go.
Finally, I saw her walking towards me. "Damn, miss fashion" She teased. I laughed "Is that supposed to mean I look good? You don't look bad either". She then smiled at me "Thanks". We went inside the mall, a few minutes after, Hyerin asked me "Hay, what time is it?". I pulled out my phone from my pocket,'18:31' and said "6 and a half". She nodded thankfully.
We went in each end every shop that caught our attention. After about 3 hours, the sky was pitch black, the moon shining with grace over the city, coating it with a red layer. Thankfully, if I were to get attacked again, this time my taser is charged and I also made a garlic spray for vampires, JUST in case.
"Damn, you bought alot of things" I told her, watching as she held 5 bags in her hands "You can't blame me" She said, trying to make it sound as if I had done the same thing as her "I have only one bag! You're a shopping addict" "I can't fight with you at that. Guess you always win" She spoke the last sentence while sighing.
"Wanna go fill up more bags until they overflow, or do you wanna go home?" I teased. She gave me a look that gave off sass that communicated 'Why even bother to ask? You know damn well the answer is no'. Like missy, who do you think you are? I am the sassy one in this duo of ours.
Hyerin then said "One more shop?" "That's what you said last time. Plus, you're walking home, what if you can't carry all of those for 10 minutes? Think about it before you go all out!". She then acted shocked, but I knew deep down she was actually amazed. "Okay, know-it-all" She said in a slight affectionate tone "We'll stop here then" "Wah, what happened? You never let go of your babies so easily" "Hey! The items I buy aren't like children to me!" "Says the one that literally asks a pair of chopsticks 'Are you okay?' when they fall on the floor" "But you do it too!" She whines "Okay,enough bickering"
Me and Hyerin sat on a bench inside the mall and discussed a bit more about our plans for the summer vacation, which was 2 months away. Then I realised "Wait, isn't the summer vacation in 2 months" "So what?" "Okay, stop the sass, you know damn well that's my role in this duo". Hyerin then laughed and I joined her after a bit. After we both calmed down I said "It's 9 and a half, and its dark outside. We should get home" Hyerin nodded "Agreed"
We both made our way to the entrance of the mall. "See ya tomorrow" I smiled at her "Mhm", then she went right, and I, left. On my way, I walked through the same alley I got attacked just last night, past my favourite bookshop with many mythology books and legends about vampire.
It wouldn't hurt anyone if I just payed the librarian a visit, right? The narrow alley beside the bookshop was dimly lit by flickering streetlights. The air thick with tension as the shadows dance under the eerie glowed of the crimson moon. I entered the library and bowed while greeting "What brings you here so late at this hour, Eunchae?" "Oh, just decided to pay you a visit. I went with Hyerin to the mall" "Ah, I see. How's Hyerin?" "She's okay" I smiled.
I looked a bit around the dark library. It was a library special for books filled with diverse myths, legends and many more. "Any new books?" "Yes, I was actually about to call you tomorrow, I got a few new ones about vampires, werewolves, elves and fairies. Without hesitation I said "I'll buy the one about vampires" "Oh? That was fast, you usually think about it alot before choosing one" "Not today" "Okay, something is up with you, but I won't question it. I'll go to the back and grab it" I nodded as she left to go find it for me.
I was mesmerised by the bloody moon. Watching it from the window of the library, the corner of my eye caught the yellowish-white light coming from further down the alley.
It was the same beam that I saw when that person saved me...
