After a long, tiring day at the mall, Sunghoon and I both returned home with a few too many bags. Miniso is my favorite shop, and we ended up spending hours there, completely losing track of time.
As we walked into the house, Sunghoon followed me, his curiosity obvious. He couldn't help but wonder what I'd bought during our shopping spree. I had a tendency to surprise him, and he was eager to see what I had picked out this time.
"So, what did you buy from Miniso that fit into four bags?" he asked, his curiosity at its peak.
I couldn't help but smile as I started pulling out each item. First, a deer squishmallow, then a few scent diffusers, a noodle pot, six packs of Buldak spicy carbonara instant noodles, a perfume, a bunch of mochi packs, fake plants, two bear keychains—one brown with ivory details and the other ivory with brown details—three lip glosses, two matching bottles (one peach and one blue), a scented candle, and finally, a fluffy blanket.
Sunghoon's eyes widened with each item I revealed, his surprise growing as the pile of goodies on the table kept getting bigger. He knew I loved shopping for cute things, but even he seemed impressed with my haul this time.
"Damn, love," he mumbled, clearly taken aback. "You really went all out, huh? That's a lot of stuff."
I giggled, enjoying his reaction.
He chuckled, my giggle always managing to bring a smile to his face. I loved how he looked at me, so happy and carefree, even when I was showing off my latest finds.
"You really know how to treat yourself, huh?" he teased, a playful glint in his eye. "You sure you're not trying to bankrupt me, love?"
"Hey! I didn't go over the limit you set me! You rich ass," I retorted, trying to sound serious but failing to keep the smile off my face.
Sunghoon playfully rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah, you stayed within the limit," he said, his tone dripping with mock sarcasm. "But you still managed to buy damn near the whole store, love."
"No!" I said, adding a hint of sass to my tone, not willing to admit he'd gotten me this time.
He chuckled at my denial, clearly enjoying teasing me. "Sure, sure," he said, still skeptical. "Just keep telling yourself that, love. That you didn't buy practically half the store."
"That store is loaded with 10 times more than what I bought," I shot back, crossing my arms and pouting a little for added effect.
Sunghoon laughed, shaking his head. "Yeah, yeah, I'm sure it's packed full of even more things for you to buy next time," he said with a smirk. "You just can't resist, can you, love? You're a shopping addict."
"I don't even know why you're complaining. $375 is an insignificant amount compared to what you own," I said jokingly, pretending to be a spoiled 7-year-old.
He grinned, shaking his head in amusement. "I wasn't complaining, love. I just like to tease you about your shopping habits, that's all."
"And I like to tease you in many other ways," I said, leaning in to give him a quick kiss on the lips.
Sunghoon's breath hitched a little at my sudden move, and I could see the spark of desire light up in his eyes. He loved when I teased him, especially in this way.
"Yeah, I know you do," he mumbled, his voice a little rougher now. "And I gotta admit, I love seeing the feisty side of you when you tease me, love."
"Thank you for spoiling me in a way that no one ever could. I'm lucky," I said softly, feeling a wave of affection for him.
