Space Station Shenanigans

It's been quite some time since I met Himeko and joined the Astral Express. This universe certainly offered sights to behold. The journey wasn't completely smooth sailing as the first Trailblaze that the two of went was basically a sob story of how a planet was completely overrun by bugs, apparently remnants of the swarm as Himeko told me. But nothing we couldn't handle.

Fast forward a couple more expeditions, and we met several new faces. Welt Yang was the first, who was a quite old gentleman that had secrets to hide but hey, if I had the power to create black holes (which I do but they don't need to know that yet). Next was a brooding Dan Heng, he reminded of a lone leaf drifting through the wind finding its purpose and just like Mr. Yang, he had his own secrets. He's now the archivist of the crew, a role that I previously held. The most recent to join the crew would have to be the hyper pink haired girl we found floating in space while she was encased in ice. We found her on March 7th of the calendar year, and apparently, that stuck with her, so that became her name.

Oh.

I almost forgot, there was also Pom-Pom the conductor. Cute little fella, not sure how they survived in this train. Personally, maybe they are the spirit of this train. It wouldn't be the first time that I encountered the spirit of a supposedly inanimate object. One universe had a crew of troublemakers and their ship had a spirit. Unfortunately, she died in order to save her crew.

Himeko is still the navigator, while I'm mostly spending most of my free time just gazing at the children (the stars). We decided that it would be better for just the two of us to know what I actually am, which is fine.

So far, this vacation is panning out really nice. Hopefully, nothing bad happens....

Timeskip...

Our next stop was a space station that belonged to a very well-known member of the Genius Society, as Himeko mentioned. Apparently, they're regarded as the smartest in this universe, and all worship the Aeon of Erudition, Nous.

As we approached the Space Station, we received an emergency message from a boy who Himeko told me was named Arlan. He stated that the station was under siege by the Antimatter Legion, followers of Nanook, the Aeon of Destruction. The transmission was cut short, but the message was clear. The routine visit just became a rescue mission.

Arriving a few moments later, Dan Heng and March 7th went on ahead to find Arlan, leaving me, Himeko, Pom-Pom, and Mr. Yang.

Welt: It seems the Legion will cause quite a headache for Ms. Herta.

Auri: So, Ms. Herta, what does she look like?

Himeko: You won't see her in person here. She's too busy. But she has several robots scattered in the Space Station in her likeness. Believe me, you'll know when it's her.

Auri: I see. What do we do now? Do we split up?

Himeko: Me and Welt will try to contact Herta. You should try and find Dan Heng and March 7th. Something tells me it won't just be the Legion we're up against. Things just don't add up. There must be something happening behind the scenes.

I just nod before departing the train, leaving the two to discuss further.

3rd PoV

As the tall woman leaves the train, Welt turns to Himeko.

Welt: Himeko, you never mentioned how you and Aurianna met.

Himeko: Oh, she happened to crash land on the very planet where I found the express. She then helped me fix the express.
