The Opal Of Misterdan

Separation of misterdan

Welcome to chapter 2 :)

Being patient is a virtue most people do not have. 

Rushing into a situation is sometimes not the healthiest decision to make in life. 

People aren’t perfect and others aren’t as well, but two heads are better than one.

Sometimes consulting sensible people for advice or for their opinion on something can help lead one towards the right direction avoiding a lot of trouble.

The elders from the Hunter’s clan after  taking heed of their surroundings when the darkness disappeared became terrified, they saw all the scared looks coming from the others around them.  For some weird reason the others looked small and short and they felt they were of much higher height and size.This made them so terrifying. Unaware of what was happening the three Hunter clan elders ran away from the cave because of all the terrifying faces looking up at them. They went as far as they could, their feet leaving heavy foot stomps behind them. They went so fast they didn’t notice they had crossed Misterdan's border and ended up in an inhabited land a few metres away from  the border of Misterdan. With their new found height  and size they could run faster than normal. This land was what they will call a virgin land fresh and pure with no habitation.

It was a perfect start for them from all the chaos they escaped from.

Back in the cave one of the green clans elders(Mirlinde) grabbed the  gem that had caused all of this and she recognized it as the Opal the wise woman described to them from her vision. The Opal looked drained and lifeless all the glowing effect it had melted. It was like it was the heart of the the cave, because the whole cave went dark with it. The only light penetrating through was that of the sun. 

“What in the mighty Sun God just happened” Huasa said, still looking scared from what happened 

“Hey Mirlinde” The other member from the Greenland council called, making everyone’s attention penetrate towards Mirlinde. 

She quickly hid the Opal before anyone saw it.

“Are you okay you look scared and pale” he asked

“Maybe she is just in shock, like us” One of the member from Huasa’s team

“Can I fetch Niyaho here so he might be of help?” the Greenland council member said again

“No it’s fine I don’ t want to bother my best friend with all this drama, I will go to the wise woman to seek advice. After we talk I will inform you on whatever happens at the Seraglio” Mirlinde said trying to act like she wasn’t hiding something

“I could go with you” he suggested

No need its fine” Mirlinde said squeezing his shoulder softly for reassurance

“I will be off now please put things together and reassure everyone not to be in disarray since we still do not know what is happening”Mirlinde adviced

“Wow always standing on business, I love how you are always in control in this kinds of situations Mirlinde” Huasa praised

“Appreciated” Mirlinde smiled and then she left

She hid the Opal and headed to the wise woman to report the previous past happenings and get some insights on what was happening as everyone was still uninformed.

Not only needed for healing and medication, the wise woman’s role is also to give advice and guide the leaders as she is said to be the ear of the Sun god. She wears silk white clothing or linen and leather sandals, her elf ears and long curls which glow in silver showed that the wise woman is of both clans. 

When she arrived the wise woman was sitting on a chair like she was expecting her. Mirlinde narrated all what happened to her asking for insights and advice as the whole of Misterdan needs answers to all what is happening.

 “I knew this was going to happen” She sighs, getting up slowly and putting the bottle she held in her hands down on the table. Coming back to the chair she sat in, she offered Mirlinde a seat and started advising. 

“The Opal is a very powerful and magical gem that can be dangerous and also useful depending on the desires of the   person receiving its powers”. 

Just from the appearance even though it is drained the Opal had mystical shiny blue colours with veins of pink and gold.

“The  Opal must be kept in an extra secure place away from everyone and everything to reduce more damage”

“This already is a big issue, half of the elders councils are gone and in a mess, I foresee worse happening”.

“A pact should be made after the Opal is secured, this will prevent more danger from happening because if it falls in the wrong hands more lives will be at risk”. 

“A pact should be  made between the two clans to never use it for selfish reasons or to hurt each other or Misterdan if not I am afraid both clans will be in danger”. The wise woman handed the responsibility over to Mirlinde to bring about this useful advice because she was brave to come find a solution and protect the Opal in the midst of all the chaos and not use it for selfish desires.

With this news Mirlinde headed over to Misterdan’s Seraglio. 

On her way she thought about what the wise woman said and how she plans to relay this information to the others.

“Oh my! I hope nothing more chaotic happens than this”

“Where am I even going to keep the Opal that no one will find it, there is literally no hiding place in Misterdan”

“Uuggghhh” Mirlinde grumbled to herself frustrated with all the drama

When she arrived there she told the other Greenland clan council member what happened at the wise woman’s cottage and they decided to inform the clans together of all what has occurred.

They called all the clans together at the assembly park in Misterdan called ‘Orpha’ and informed them all what the wise woman said and told both clans to stay alert for the three Hunter clan elders as no one knows if they will bring dispute or worst destruction. With these all the crowd dispersed in groups discussing to them all the info they just got.

They all went home and made sure they stayed alert as the days passed in all they did.

 Days and weeks passed with no sign of the Hunter clan’s three elders.
