THE PLAN

Mia and Hyun sat at a quiet corner table in the library, their faces etched with determination. The afternoon sun streamed through the windows, casting long shadows across the room.

"We need a solid plan," Mia said, her voice low. "We can't just rely on a single recording. We need more evidence."

Hyun nodded. "Agreed. We need testimonies from other students and teachers who've witnessed her misconduct."

Lily joined them, dropping a stack of papers onto the table. "I did some digging. These are the names of students whose grades were suspiciously changed last semester."

Mia scanned the list. "This is a good start. We'll need to approach them carefully. If Miss Hensley finds out, she'll retaliate."

Hyun leaned in, his eyes focused. "We need to document everything. Record conversations, take photos, gather any paperwork we can find. The more evidence, the stronger our case."

"Let's divide the tasks," Lily suggested. "Hyun, you can handle the recordings. Mia, you can talk to the students on this list. I'll try to get some inside information from the teachers."

Mia nodded. "Okay, but we need to be careful. If Miss Hensley catches wind of this, it's over."

The trio spent the next few days working in secret, their determination unwavering despite the risks. Hyun discreetly recorded conversations with students who had been wronged by Miss Hensley, using his phone hidden in his bag. Mia approached the students on the list, carefully choosing moments when they were alone.

"Hey, can we talk for a minute?" Mia asked a girl named Jessica as they walked out of the library.

Jessica looked wary but nodded. "Sure, what's up?"

"I need to ask you about your grades," Mia said, her voice hushed. "Did Miss Hensley change any of them without your knowledge?"

Jessica glanced around nervously. "She did. I thought it was strange, but I didn't say anything. I didn't want to get in trouble."

Mia sighed. "You're not alone. We're trying to gather evidence to expose her. Would you be willing to give a statement?"

Jessica hesitated, then nodded. "Okay. I'll do it."

Meanwhile, Lily befriended a new teacher, Mr. Collins, subtly steering conversations towards Miss Hensley's behavior.

"I've heard some rumors about Miss Hensley," Lily mentioned casually during lunch. "Have you noticed anything unusual?"

Mr. Collins frowned. "Actually, I have. She's very secretive and often stays late in the office. I've seen her with student files more than once."

"Would you be willing to talk about it?" Lily asked. "We're trying to gather evidence."

Mr. Collins hesitated but finally agreed. "I suppose it's time someone did something about it."

As the days passed, Mia, Hyun, and Lily compiled their evidence. They met late at night in Mia's small room, sorting through recordings, testimonies, and documents. The atmosphere was tense but hopeful.

"Look at this," Hyun said, holding up a stack of papers. "These are the original grades versus the changed ones. It's clear she's manipulating them."

"And listen to this," Mia added, playing a recording of a student recounting how Miss Hensley had threatened them into silence.

Lily spread out a series of photos on the bed. "These show her entering and leaving the office with stacks of student files late at night."

Mia looked at her friends, feeling a surge of gratitude. "We're getting close. But we need to be ready for the fallout. Miss Hensley won't go down without a fight."

Hyun nodded. "We'll face it together. We're doing the right thing."

"We need to be even more careful," Hyun whispered. "Miss Hensley is onto us."
