"COFFEE, Kuya Hanz!"
Florence's eyes were like daggers as she glared at Holly.Her perfect plan to spend time with Hanz was ruined 'cause this brat suddenly showed up in the house.She had woken up early wanting to cook breakfast for Hanz, pero pagdating nya sa kusina ay natigilan siya ng makita ang paslit na ito na naghahanda na ng kape ni Hanz.
"Thanks, Holly." nakangiting sabi ni Hanz bago ginulo ang buhok nito at umupo sa coffee table kung nasaan ang mga gamit na dala ni Holly.Pumunta ito sa bahay ni Hanz para magpatulong sa science project nito na hindi naman tinanggihan ni Hanz.
Florence knows this brat, Kapatid ito ng ex-girlfriend ni Hanz na si Hannah.Holly is a grade 8, fourteen-year-old student.Malapit si Hanz rito, at kahit nga hiwalay na sila ng dating kasintahan na si Hannah ay hindi parin nagbago ang tingin ni Hanz dito.
Florence just headed to the kichen counter to make her own coffee.Nang makapag-timpla na ay muli siyang tumingin sa direksyon ni Hanz at Holly.Holly's sitting beside him.She glance at her direction, smugly smirking at her.
Florence gritted her teeth.Alam nyang iniinis lang siya nito at naiinis naman siya.It was on the tip of her tongue to deny that this girl pisses her off.This brat is something.She made it clear the first day she meet her that she hated her.Straight out hated her.Wala naman siyang pakialam pero kuhang-kuha talaga nito ang inis nya pero wala sa ugali ni Florence ang magpatalo.Lalo na sa paslit na ito.
Holly leaned in to whisper."Kuya, Hanggang kailan titira yang babae'ng yan dito?"
Muli ay lumingon ulit ito sa direksyon nya na masama ang tingin.Florence can read lips so she can understand her.Hanz also glance at her direction.She acted clueless and take a sip from her coffee, now with the intention of getting rid of Holly.
She intentionally let the mug slip from her hands.The glass mug shattered into pieces when it touch the marble kichen counter top.Agad na kumalat ang mga basag na piraso ng baso at mainit na kape na tumalsik rin sakanya.
"Florence!" agad siyang dinaluhan ni Hanz.His face was painted with worry as he check on her."Are you okay?"
"Ngn...aray." she winced in pain.She saw Hanz's gaze dropped at her hand
"Napaso ka,"
Heat and Awareness kindled in Florence's gaze as he continue gently grasped her hand.Hinipan nito ang kamay nya.
Then Florence's heart skip a beat when he kissed her hand.Her face flamed by his sudden action."My mom taught me that kiss can make the pain go away." he innocently said.
Florence laughed softly."It didn't work." she was smiling in amusement.
There was a red tint on his cheek and ear.He was blushing and he looked cute.Pinagpatuloy parin nito ang paghipan sa parte ng paso sa kamay nya na hindi naman inangalan ni Florence.She liked it.She liked him
HANZ was busy putting an ointment on Florence's hand when Holly gave him a cold patch.Inutusan nya ito kanina na hanapin sa kwarto nya ang medical kit, thankfully, she obliged.Pansin nya kase ang hindi maganda nitong pakikitungo na pinapakita nito kay Florence noong nasa cafe palang.But he knew, Holly is a good kid.Para nya na itong kapatid.
"Thanks, Holly." tinanggap nya 'yon bago tiningnan si Florence na parang hindi na iniinda ang paso nya.
Suddenly, she faced him.Nakita nya na naman sa tingin nito ang nakita nya noon.Like she was studying his face intently.
He cleared his throat."Does it still hurt?" he asked putting the cold patch on securing it with a tape.
"A little." She smiled and looked at him."But I'm fine."
