DOROTHEA HAD TO GO RUN A FEW errands before she could head home, given to her by her mother and grandma during her surely overdue time with matt. on her way back, she noticed it was now about eight-thirty and she just couldn't wait untilshe got home. she was already planning to take the biggest nap, or honestly just fall asleep. it was going to be a decent ten-fifteen minute ride, and she was already so exhausted from the day to hardly function. her bed was her end goal and she would do anything to achieve that in the quickest way possible.
twelve minutes later, she pulled into the driveway of her grandmothers house. she turned off the car and got out, walking as fast as she could to the front door. that's when she noticed the flowers. but matt already bought me flowers, she thought to herself. would he really get her two bouquets in one day? also there was no way he would have been able to buy the flowers and drop them off at her house before she got back from their spot.
that's because he didn't. as dorothea read the note that came with the flowers, which happened to be just plain roses, she noticed there was no name as to where it came from. which was the same as matt's, except she had no idea who's handwriting this was.
