Hikari's POV

My morning was already off to a rough start. I slept in longer than usual and was running around the house to get out the door in time to meet up with Shoto. I somehow managed, but then, when we arrived at UA, the reporters were in our face asking us about All Might. Thankfully, Shoto shoved right past them, pulling me along. They had been bothering students for the last two days. Once everyone arrived to class, Aizawa commended us on yesterday's combat training.

"Good job on yesterday's training. I saw the video and results. Bakugo, you're talented, so don't act like a kid." Aizawa really doesn't sugarcoat anything does he.

"I know." He responded rather calmly, which sent my right eyebrow shooting up.

"Midoriya. You settled it by breaking your arm again, huh? You can't keep saying that you can't help it because you can't control your quirk. I don't like saying the same thing over and over. As long as you fix the control issue, there's a lot you'll be able to do. Feel a sense of urgency, Midoriya."

"Hai!" Midoriya said.

"Now let's get down to homeroom business. Sorry about the late notice but today, I'll have you..." He paused. We all tensed thinking it would be another special test. "...decide on a class rep." That's so... normal.

Everyone burst out, exclaiming that they should be picked. Bakugo's voice was especially loud, considering he was right behind me. I stayed silent calmly watching the commotion, and instead closed my eyes and sighed. I would like to be picked, but I won't ask to be.

"Silence please!" Iida ordered loudly, causing the yelling to cease. "It is a job with the serious responsibility of leading others. It's not a job for us to just do it. It's a calling that requires the trust of those around you. If we want to use democracy to decide on a true leader, then we should hold an election to choose one." I subconsciously nodded, agreeing with the idea of an election. But it was also funny to see that Iida had his hand raised the highest.

"We haven't known each other for that long, so how can we trust or anything?" Tsuyu questioned.

"If that's the case then wouldn't everyone vote for themselves..." Kiri said.

"Don't you think that's precisely why whoever recievers multiple votes, can be truly considered the most suitable person? What do you think, Aizawa sensei?" That was when I realized Aizawa was once again inside his yello sleeping bag.

"I don't care, as long as you decide before homeroom is over?" Aizawa said nonchalantly, then proceeding to fall over and go to sleep.

"I think a vote is a good idea," I finally spoke up, "gaining the trust of others is important to becoming a hero, so anyone that was able to do that in the short time we've known each other should be the best person to represent a hero class."

Everyone agreed on doing a vote. I helped distribute spare paper for everyone to write down their votes anonymous votes. I chose Iida, since despite being strict about rules, he is clearly responsible. Iida and I then collected all the folded votes in an empty box, counted the results and wrote them on the board.

Midoriya had the most votes, which was 4, and surprisingly, I was second, with 3 votes. Momo was close behind with 2. Iida only had 1, which meant that Iida had voted for someone else. He was disappointed but he accepted it. Soon, Aizawa woke up.

"Then, the class rep is Midoriya, and deputy class rep will be Nara." I stood calmly next to Midoriya, who was visibly shaking from nervousness.

"S-seriously?" Midoriya said nervously. I sighed and decide to speak up instead.
