Jade and Jack made the most of their last school dance together, and least the last one where they were both still students.
She hoped that he came to her senior prom next year, but you never know with professional hockey schedules.
" I honestly hope you guys last forever", Cole said to her as they stood in the line at McDonald's
The group all went there after the dance, just like they did last year.
Jade smiled, " Me too, Cole",
He smiled back at her, the girl watching as Jack joked around with Trevor in the booth.
She had hope for them. That they were gonna last, that no matter where he got drafted to, they would make it work. That's all she could hope for.
Even though she wouldn't actually admit it, she'd follow him anywhere if he asked. Even if it was across the country, she'd be there.
Jack knew it too, but he would never ask her for that. He knew Jade had tons of potential for the world, and he wouldn't ask her to waste that on following him around hockey arenas for her whole life.
" You okay?", she asked as she sat beside him, the boy looking over at her.
He smiled and nodded, " Yea, all good",
Jade nodded, eating some of her fries and sipping on the drink the two were sharing.
