AARON'S POV

Today is going like any usual day would. Working at The Sanctuary, making sure no one tries to kill anyone else.
Though, tonight, I have planned a date for myself and my wife, Ella. Me and Ella haven't really had any alone time in a few weeks, leaving both of us missing the other. Sure we see each other at home, but that's only to sleep. After taking down the Reestablishment, nothing has taken break. We sleep, wake up, at around 6am, head straight to work, then, once we finally get home at around 9pm, we both practically pass out from exhaustion.
I made sure that today me and Ella have a completely clear schedule. Making today a perfect day for me and Ella to have some time together.

Right now, it's 5:40am, and I have been up for about half an hour. I wanted to set up a nice breakfast for Ella and myself. We both haven't eaten a proper, home cooked meal in a while. So, I thought it a nice idea to enjoy a full English breakfast this morning.

I'm finishing up the bacon when I hear movement come from upstairs. I plate up said bacon and go upstairs to see Ella brushing her hair, in front of the mirror. "Good morning, love." I walk over to her and wrap my arms around her waist, standing behind her.

Her smile can be seen in the reflection makes me fill with joy and love. "Morning." She turns her head, just managing to kiss me on the cheek. "You're up earlier than usual." She says.

I kiss the side of her neck, in a nice peck. "Yeah, I wanted to make sure I was ready for today."

Her face contorts with confusion. "I guess it's always good to be prepared."

I softly chuckle at her response. "While that remains true, you have the wrong idea of what I'm saying."

This time she fully turns her body around, after putting the hair brush back on her dresser. "What's going on?" She gives me a hesitant look.

"Well, I was thinking..." I begin.

She crosses her arms, a playful pout on her face. "Who have you planned to kill, or have you already killed them."

I shake my head, smiling at her pout. "No one, sweetheart. No one at all."

She just looks at me with even more confusion. "I don't understand."

I take her small hand, leading her out the bedroom, down the stair, and into the dining room - where all the food is laid out, looking, if I do say so myself, delicious.

"Tada!" I release her wrist.

"Oh Aaron, this is so sweet!" She jumps on me, wrapping her arms around the back of my neck. I love it when she holds me like this, I love the way my hands slip down to rest on her waist so effortlessly. The way our breathing patterns fall into the same rhythm. It's truly a feeling like none other. It's delightful.

Until...

Suddenly she pulls away. "Wait, hold on. We do have to hurry because work begins soon." She takes a seat at the table.

"No we don't love. I managed to get both of us a day off."

She suddenly freezes, looks at me with pure admiration. "Wait, really?" Her voice barley a whisper, like she can't grasp the fact that this is really happening. "Aaron if this is a joke, it's not funny."

I slip into the seat opposite her. "It's not a joke my love. I wanted today to be about you and me. A date day."

Her smile is so bright that it's contagious. "Oh Aaron, this is the most amazing thing ever!" She squeals as she reaches across the table for my hand, giving it a quick squeeze. "I love you so much."

I return the soft squeeze of our hands, replying to her - "I love you so much, sweetheart."

After eating breakfast together, with smiles on both our faces, it's time for step two of my plan for today.

𝒮𝓉ℯ𝓅 𝓉𝓌ℴ: 𝖦𝖾𝗍 𝗌𝗈𝗆𝖾 𝖿𝗋𝖾𝗌𝗁 𝖺𝗂𝗋 𝖺𝗇𝖽 𝗀𝗈 𝖿𝗈𝗋 𝖺 𝗐𝖺𝗅𝗄.

This step is very easy to complete. "I'm ready!" She comes out the bedroom. I've been waiting out in the hall for around twenty five minutes while Ella gets changed.

She looks stunning, absolutely breathtaking.

She's wearing a white based dress, slightly low cut neckline, short sleeves that flow. The dress is tight, but not too tight, causing the bottom of the dress to flow as well. On top of the white background, big, blue flowers are few and far between. Although they look more like blobs of blue water colours that some layered differently for every individual petal.

Her hair pulled into a low bun, though keeping said low bun firm and staying right in place, rooted to the spot.

"Wow..." I stare at her, in complete awe. "You look..." I try and mutter out a work, any word but I can't. "You look, just wow."

She laughs. Her smile is astoundingly wonderful. "Thank you very much, handsome." She walks to me and gives me a kiss.

I never thought that I could amount to having someone as emasculate as Ella. She is just purely the definition of the word 'perfection', down to the very last detail.

"You do know that staring is normally impolite." She giggles

When we do make it out the house, our walk starts with leaves crunching and twigs cracking, under out feet.

Our hands are interlocked, swaying slightly as our arms swings softly back and forth. This is so nice, so peaceful. I turn to look at Ella's face, seeing that her smile could shatter glass. "You have the most beautiful smile, love."

She turns to see me looking at her. "You tell me that a lot, you know." Her smile only widens. "Also, that's not true, because you have those gorgeous dimples!" She exclaims.

"Nope, dimples or not, your smiles the best."

She shakes her head. "Well, we will have to agree to disagree on this one."

I nod. "Suppose we will."

As a breeze washes over us, her cheeks turn pinkish red, the frost wind also having the same colour impact on the top of her nose. "Come on love," I say, "let's get back home and out of this cold weather."

She nods as I pull off my blazer, wrapping it around her. "Thank you, but you'll be cold now."

I shake my head, reaching for her hand again. "You, my love, at my up most priority."

She shakes her head. "Well you are my up most priority."

"I'm not even cold, sweetheart." I kiss the side of her head.

"Are you sure, Aaron, I don't want you to catch a cold or get sick."

I softly chuckle. "I'm one hundred percent sure, darling."

Once we arrive home, I take her hand and lead her upstairs.

"Aaron, where are we going?" She giggles as she follows me.

"You'll just have to wait and see, won't you."
