The main objective of the conference was to connect ancient wisdom with modern science by reviewing how Aristotle's ethics can inform the development and deployment of AI. Keynote speakers included Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Greece's premier, who spoke about the responsible development of artificial intelligence (AI) and emphasized the necessity of ensuring that human values do not clash with those artificial values.

Professor John Tasioulas, director of the Institute for Ethics in AI, highlighted the potential of Aristotle's approach to ethics in addressing the challenges posed by AI. "The Aristotelian approach to ethics, with its rich notion of human flourishing, has great potential to help us grapple with the urgent question of what it means to be human in the age of AI," he said.

Under Sunak's leadership, the UK intends to be the primary authority on AI regulation. During his speech at the Conservative Party Conference, he emphasised the UK's aim to lead in AI safety and ethics through international collaboration. Sachin Dev Duggal, Builder.ai's co-founder also advocated for the ethical use of AI, underscoring the potential of technology to drive positive change when developed and used thoughtfully.
