Lo'ak

Basketball practice just finished up and we all head to the locker room. I make it to my locker and yank it open. Changing out of my sweaty clothes, I get a notification on my phone. After pulling my hoodie over my head I pick up my phone to see that Neteyam texted me. 

Broo 🥸: I'm gonna be late picking you up, I'll be there in 10 mins

I groan and shove my phone into my bag. He's been late to pick me up for the past week. Usually I'd drive myself but dad took my away my driving privileges since I got into a fight last month. It was so stupid but whatever. 

I walk to the bathroom and splash some water on my face. When I finish drying it Ao'nung is looking at me weird. 

"Bro what do you want?" I ask him while rolling my eyes. 

He stares back at me before saying, "Are you almost ready to leave? I have to lock up and my sisters waiting for me." 

I nod back at Ao'nung and when I go back to my locker to get my bag I realize it's just us two. Ao'nung is the captain of the basketball team so he has to lock up the gym after every practice. I sling my bag over my shoulder and head out the door. Since Neteyam isn't going to be here for another five minutes I walk over to the curb where I run into this girl.

I pull up to the gym and park in my usual parking spot. I text Ao'nung to hurry up but he decides to take his sweet time.  

Fishy Lips 🐟: Hold on, I need to double check the locker room

I sigh and just continue to wait in the car. It feels like an eternity goes by and he still isn't here. I shut my car off and get out to go find him. While walking up tho to the gym doors I bump into this guy. 

"Oh shit, sorry" He says, dropping his airpod. 

"Oh, no it's my bad, I wasn't looking where I was going" 

I go down to pick up his airpod and when I come back up to give it to him he's staring at me. I look back at him and he quickly looks away. 

"Uh thanks!" He says as I give him the airpod. "Um, I'm Lo'ak by the way."

I keep looking at him because he's so cute. When he tells me his name I start blushing and tuck a piece of hair behind my ear before telling him my name. 

Lo'ak

"My names Tsireya." She says. 

She's so beautiful. After I dropped my airpod, she went to pick it up and I couldn't help but stare. Her hair is long and braided with some natural pieces throughout. She's wearing Hello Kitty pajama pants and a white t-shirt and she couldn't look cuter. She caught me staring and it was so embarrassing. 

I was about to ask why she was here when I hear footsteps behind us. I turn around and see Ao'nung come out of the gym. 

"Why are you out of the car?" He says to her. 

Wait what. Ao'nung knows her? 

"Well you were taking forever so I came out to come get you. Lo'ak it was nice to meet you." She says to me before her and Ao'nung walk back to a car. 

How did they know eachother? Before I could start overthinking Neteyam pulls up in front of me and honks. 

"Bro what was that for?!"I yell the second I open the door.

He shrugs his shoulders and responds saying, "You were just standing there staring into space. I needed to get your attention somehow." 

"Whatever"

I pull the door closed and click in my seatbelt while Neteyam changes the song on his phone. We drive out the school parking lot and he starts driving us home. I rummage through my bag to find my phone and open tiktok. While scrolling I suddenly get a message from an unknow number. 

Unknown: Heyyyy

Lo'ak: Uhh who is this? 

Unknown: It's Tsireya, this is Lo'ak right? 

WHATTTT. No way. How did she get my number. Omg omg omg. I quickly change her contact and reply back. 

Tsireya 💕: Hello?

Lo'ak: Hi, yes, I'm Lo'ak. Uh, I'm curious, how'd you get my number?" 

Tsireya 💕: I asked Ao'nung to give it to me. Oh! I hope that's okay. 

Lo'ak: It totally okay, I was just curious lol

Tsireya 💕: lol

Omg. It suddenly occurs to me that I'm actually talking to her and I feel my face go red. Neteyam sees too because then he's asking, "Bro, who's got you smiling like that?" 

"No one!" 

"Okay bro" 

"Shut up" 

He laughs at me and I look back to my phone. 1 new message. I click it open and see it's Tsireya. 

Tsireya 💕: Sooo, what are you doing rn? 

Lo'ak: I'm still driving home, hbu? 

Tsireya 💕: I'm just watching a show on my laptop, and texting you ofc 🩷

*AHHHHHH!!! OMG. OMG. She sent a heart emoji. 

Lo'ak: haha 

Tsireya 💕: Well, I'm going to finish my show, good night! 

Lo'ak: Night ❤️ Talk tomorrow? 

Tsireya 💕: ofc! 🩷

AHH Okay so I know its been like a few days since I uploaded but its bc I was busy. I don't know if ill be able to update over the next month since im going on vacation, but i will try my best.
