Two weeks later
Naruto stood on the outskirts of the Mist Village, the heavy mist swirling around him like a cloak. His mind was filled with the recent events.
The defeat of Yagura, the lack of any sign from the masked man, and now his new plan.
He made his way to the Mizukage's office. Mei was waiting for him. She looked up as he entered, her usual stern expression softening.
"Naruto," she said, her voice tinged with sadness. "I heard you're leaving."
"Yeah," Naruto replied, scratching the back of his head. "I have to. There's still something I need to do."
Mei sighed, then reached into her desk and pulled out a scroll sealed with the insignia of the Mist Village. She handed it to Naruto. "Before you go, I have something for you."
Naruto took the scroll, looking at it curiously. "What's this?"
"It's a proposal for an alliance between the Mist and the Leaf," Mei explained. "I want you to act as our ambassador. You've proven your strength and your loyalty. I can think of no one better to represent us."
Naruto's eyes widened. "You want me to be an ambassador? But I'm just a genin..."
Mei smiled. "You're much more than that, Naruto. You've done more for us in a short time than most could in a lifetime. This scroll contains our terms for the alliance. Present it to the Hokage. I believe this will help strengthen both our villages."
Naruto felt a surge of pride. "I'll make sure it gets to the old man"
"Thank you, Naruto. For everything." Mei's voice softened. "Just... be careful, okay?"
Naruto nodded. "I will. Goodbye Mei"
Before he got out of the door. Mei ran towards Naruto and hugged him tightly.
"Mei-sama let Naruto go. We can't further inconvenience him" Ao
"Shut up Ao or I will kill you." Mei Said as she glared at him
Ao paled at" Yes mam"
Naruto disappeared from their view.
"Naruto I will be sure to spoil you rotten the next time I see you." Mei thought
Next, he went to find Zabuza and Haku. They were training in a secluded area. When they saw Naruto approaching, they stopped and turned to face him.
"So, you're leaving," Zabuza
"Yeah," Naruto replied. "There's still someone I need to find."
Haku stepped forward, a gentle smile on his face. "We'll miss you, Naruto.
Naruto smiled back. "I'll miss you guys too. But I'll be back, I promise."
Zabuza grunted. "You better keep that promise, kid."
Naruto chuckled. "I will. Take care of each other."
With a final wave, Naruto turned and walked away, the mist enveloping him as he headed towards his next destination. He knew that capturing his fellow Jinchuriki would be dangerous/fun, but it was the only way to draw out the masked man.
As he left the Mist Village behind, Naruto felt a mix of determination and rage. His mission was far from over. He had to keep moving forward.
Few days later
Naruto arrived at the Hidden Stone Village. Naruto moved stealthily through the Village, his senses sharp and his chakra cloaked to avoid detection. He had two targets in mind. Roshi, the Jinchuriki of the Four- Tails and Han, the Jinchuriki of the Five-Tails. His goal was to capture them both and to draw out the masked man who had been manipulating events from the shadows.
