As Nadia felt the sun beam passing sneakily through the windows, she couldn't help but groan slightly.
She got up from the bed, staring at the far-distant view outside the windows.
'It's morning...'
She could still remember the deep conversation she had with Eunid. She showed him her vulnerable side which she never let anyone see before.
'I can't believe I bawled my eyes out in front of him.' She touched her heated forehead from embarrassment.
Knock knock
"Nadia, it's me."
"Come in."
Eunid walked in, bringing her breakfast.
Nadia stared at the tray. "I haven't washed my face yet."
"I already told Horen to prepare the bath after you have your breakfast.. so please eat first, Nadia. You need energy for today."
"Energy huh..." She tucked her hair behind her ear. "What's the meal?"
Eunid had a bright expression after hearing her response. He was glad that Nadia was being cooperative.
He carefully handed her the tray and she saw the full-course meal which was also light, being prepared for her. There were also desserts on a small plate.
"How did you know I liked eclairs.." She quietly mumbled, but not quiet enough for Eunid to not hear it.
"You always chose to eat them everytime we had tea by the lake.. you grew to love it." Eunid smiled.
"Haha.. i guess so." She chuckled lightly.
Eunid sat on the bed while intently watching her finish her breakfast.
"I know I'm beautiful but do not stare too much." Nadia uttered as she continued to eat.
"Very beautiful." He continued to stare.
"Love sicko." She sighed.
Eunid couldn't help but chuckle at her response.
"...We're going to see that old lady today."
Nadia raised a brow. "Old lady? You mean-"
"The mediator."
"!!!"
"I think I found a trace on her.. remember that time when we went out together?"
"When is that time are you referring to? There has already been too many timelines we've been through."
"I don't know if you remember it but it was when you suddenly asked me if I heard a voice calling you. We were out shopping at that time when you suddenly stopped the carriage."
"That time.. was it when I first met the mediator?"
"I think so."
"Then!! Let's go now!" She abruptly left her bed.
Eunid wrapped his arms on her from behind, making sure her panicked self won't lose control.
"Nadia, the mediator won't be disappearing this time."
"How can you be so sure? What if something changes again, I can't bear that. I need to settle my death with that old b'tch!"
"It's fine. I already have an appointed schedule with her."
"Appointed what?"
"Yesterday, I actually went to see her."
"And?"
Eunid retracted his arms and escorted Nadia back to the bed. "We talked about this. Everything, about you."
"Ha..." Nadia scoffed lightly, feeling incredulous about their secret meeting and all.
"We'll meet her later in the afternoon. So please take your time at the moment." He smiled gently.
"...Promise?"
"I promise."
"Okay then." She finally conceded, then went back to focus herself on the breakfast.
Eunid couldn't help but chuckle a bit in amusement after seeing her being obedient. It made his heart flutter more.
"Nadia, can I keep loving you?" He randomly said.
"..." Nadia stopped eating. "I already told you. I don't care even if you love me as long as I die."
"Can I show it to you?"
"Show what?"
"My love."
"Huh?" She was confused.
He wants to show his love towards her?
"How exactly are you gonna do it?" She was a bit confused.
In the past, Nadia used to have that feeling too.
The want to show her love towards the prince. But that was only because she wasn't aware that she was a villainess at that time.
It was just a mere emotion embedded in her role, not as a person.
Excluding the fact that she was a villainess in a cliché novel, she has no idea about things when it comes to love and such. Because she never experienced having it.
"Do I have your permission?" Eunid asked.
"Okay, whatever. I don't get it anyways."
After gaining her permission, Eunid went and leaned close to her.
"?!"
With his hand supporting the back of her head, he gave Nadia a gentle kiss on her forehead.
"What are you doing?!" Nadia covered her forehead, her cheeks tinted in red. The area that Eunid landed a kiss on felt like it was burning for odd reason.
"I told you. I'm showing my love." He smiled. "Take me as a madman or a crazy person who is driven by love and obsession.. I don't care, Nadia." He weakly laughed.
"..Suit yourself." Nadia
No matter how much Eunid says or shows her how much he loves her, Nadia still can't understand.
It was too different from the love she felt towards the crown prince, Kahill, that one time.
If she were to say it in simple terms,
Eunid has fallen head over heels for her. Literally.
"You're really weird." She mumbled before taking in a spoonful of warm soup.
But what's more weird to her was the slight sound of her heart beating when Eunid kissed her head.
'It's probably just an irregular heartbeat.'
