Chapter 8

Duke looks at Crescent wondering why she's here.

"I can't help, but wonder what brings you to Bonevalley?" Duke asked.

"Well that is an long story, but I'm going to Lostheart Kingdom with two other people." Crescent said.

"Well why don't you tell me the reason?" Duke said.

"Well okay. You see the Prince of Lostheart came to me asking for my help because the Light Crystal is losing it's power, and he thinks I might figure out why, and how to fix it." Crescent said telling Duke the reason behind it.

Duke is shocked from what she just heard right now.

"That's not good the whole world will descend into darkness! I'll come with you to help out. You will need all the help you can get." Duke said.

Crescent is shocked when she heard Duke say she wants to come along to help her out.

"Okay then, but you can not tell anyone else about this. We don't want anyone to panic." Crescent said.

Duke nods her head in understanding.

"Make sense." Duke said.

Crescent is happy that Duke understands.

"But before we meet up with the other two we need to get some things first. We meet up with them in one hour." Crescent said.

Duke nods her head. She gets into her bag pulling out an light

Pink mask shaped like an butterfly putting it on.

The group is doing their task of the shopping for their long journey ahead of them. After one hour goes by the group goes to the meet point.

Anubis and Tom are waiting for Crescent to show up.

"I just don't understand Anubis why you didn't tell her that we're childhood best friends. I mean I am you're Bodyguard. I came looking for you when you were gone." Tom said talking to Anubis.

"I didn't want to scare her off. She's the only hope Lostheart, and Darkice have." Anubis said.

"You didn't know for sure that would scare her." Tom said.

Anubis sighs at this with his friend.

Tom saw Crescent, but saw another woman with her.

"Who is that?" Anubis said seeing her too.

"I have no idea, and she's wearing an mask." Tom said not trusting this.

"Well we can ask Moon when she gets here." Anubis said.

When Crescent and Duke walks up to them.

"Hello boys I got everything on my end. How about on your end?" Crescent said, and asked.

"Yeah we got everything on our end, but um who is this here with you?" Anubis said, and asked.

"I'm Duke I'm an Rogue, and I'm coming with you guys on your journey." Duke said.

"You never know when you need an Rogue." Crescent said.

Anubis nods his head at this idea.

"You guys do make an point." Anubis said.

Tom still didn't like this. He didn't trust Duke.

"Good I'm happy we all are on the same page here." Crescent said.

"Same here, and I promise to help out the best way I can." Duke said.

Crescent saw just how quite Tom is.

"Tom is everything okay? You're very quite over there." Crescent asked, and said looking at Tom.

"I'm fine Moon." Tom said.

Tom didn't want to say anything because he didn't want to be rude here, or to Duke. It's not like he can flat out say that he didn't trust Duke, and say it's an bad idea for her to join the party. No he can't just do that, so he will secretly watch her. He will secretly keep an eye on Duke in case she tries anything at all he will be ready for it.

Then they headed on their way following the Map to go down the right path they need to get too.

Once far enough away Duke took off her mask showing her face, but Crescent kept her hood on.

Well well it seems the party added an new member to the group. It makes me wonder will they make it to Lostheart Kingdom? Will Crescent know what is going on? We will wait, and see.
