I'm going to be trying a bit of a different style with my writing and I will write this chapter in third person instead of hiw I usually follow a character and than switch somewhere.
"Are you ready to go sweetheart?" I ask her as she picks up her bag and nods. "Yes Mia." She gives the kids one last kiss on their foreheads before we get in my car. I just adore how much they move her and she loves them. I keep day dreaming about it untill she snaps me back into reality. "Mia, are you alright?" "Oh yes ofcourse sweetheart, why wouldn't I be?" "You've been daydreaming a lot lately, what's on your mind?" "Just you and your kids." She awes, "I just love how you get along with them so well Mia." Mia looks at her confused, she has never really made an effort with them but she did like to spend her time with them. Mia smiles and she starts the car.
The ride is not that long so they chatted the time away whilst listening to Charlottes music. "Sweetheart, you really need to get spotify." "But I'm doing fine with just playing the sings on youtube!" She starts playing Sweather Weather by The Neighbourhood and Mia starts singing along knowing every word. Charlotte can't keep her eyes off of her lover as she is singing her hard out. For Mia singing, well sometimes screamibg along to the songs feels theraputic. She still has a lot of trauma's from her childhood on her mind even though that is long in the past. It just feels amazing to scream along to a song pretending that she's shouting at Roger, her father or her mother. Mia is in her own world when she's singing along and Charlotte keeps being amazed at the emotion she has behind her singing.
When they arrive at the beach Mia opens the door for Charlotte. "Mia, you really don't have to do this!" She laughs. "But I like doing this for you sweetheart." Mia goes back to the trunk to get the bag and then she turns to Charlotte who is already holding her hand.
They walk up the beach and find a place to put down their stuff. As soon as Charlottes blanket is laying on the sand she's laying on it in her bikini and Mia just giggles to herself. Mia takes her shirt and shorts off and when Charlotte looks up she is immidiatly flusterd by what she is wearing. "This bikini really makes you speechless doesn't it?" Mia teases Charlotte and she just playfully punches her. "Sweetheart, I'm just teasing you, no need to get angry."
They help eachother with the suncream and then spend a while laying in the sun sunbathing. Charlotte fell asleep in the peace and quietness and ghe sun was slowly burning her skin so Mia woke her up. "Sweetheart, you're being burnt. Let's just go swimming." She slowly wakes up and gets up to go in the sea.
We run in holding hands whilst laughing as she falls over. Mia's about to laugh uncontrolably but then she also falls over. When they both are with their heads above the water they burst out in laughter and Charlotte starts to splash Mia. She does the same back in response and it turns into a massive water fight.
They are like little children when they're splashing eachother like this but they are having the best of fun. "Mia, I'm getting tired." Mia giggles, "That's alright sweetheart, let's get back to the shore." Charlotte agrees and they cuddle with eachother as they talk about the kids, work and basically everything.
