One of the housekeepers grabbed the servant’s hand, and she muttered angrily. “Jenna, look at what you have done. Pack your bags quickly and leave!”

The other servants gathered, and some began to take Jenna’s bags that were laying on the floor. Some other tried to drag Jenna who had her head down.

If Alana suffered something in the kitchen, they were afraid they would be implicated, so they made it their mission to drag Jenna out. Alana only stood there, but when she continued to cook and she was about to pick the glass container of the sugar, Jenna managed to struggle out of their grasp.

A moment later, the sound of a glass shattering echoed again in the room. The glass container that filled with the sugar fell to the floor and broke, its content mixed with the previously broken salt.

The entire kitchen was horrified right now; the ruckus managed to catch the attention of the people who were moving things around. Because curious servants began to walk towards the kitchen to find what happened; most of the servants that witnessed what Jenna just did yelled and cursed at her, as if the actions wouldn’t make them be implicated.

“What’s happening here?” Jayden arrived in the kitchen and was startled when he found pieces of glass near where Alana was standing. Everyone became quiet as they parted like the sea for him to walk. He pulled her away from the glass pieces, afraid that they’d cut her skin open, then he berated her angrily, “Why can’t you be more careful?”

“It’s not because of Miss Alana, sir,” One of them chimed in, and she received a nudge from her friend beside her.

“Then…?” He trailed off, his eyes checked Alana’s skin for any signs of wounds; he was relieved when he found none.

“What happened?” Olivia also came to the kitchen.

The servants were silent, and they looked at each other. It was one of the housekeepers who answered her. “Jenna broke those glass containers filled with salt and sugar that Miss Alana was about to use.”

One person had spoken and others also followed. None wanted to be fired in case the members of the Wilson family regard them as Jenna’s accomplice due to their silence.

“Miss Alana was cooking. When she was about to put the seasoning, she snatched the glass containers twice and threw them to the floor.”

“Right, she threw it near Miss Alana. We were frightened when that happened. What if the pieces of glass hurt Miss Alana?”

Jenna, the culprit that they were speaking about, only had her head down as if she didn’t hear what those people were saying. She only had her fists clenched at her sides.

Olivia’s eyes flashed when she heard their words and the gaze directed at Jenna was sharp that the girl flinched. The girl looked like she was eighteen years old and people knew who had brought her in.

Lorenzo also appeared in the kitchen after he heard about the commotion. He immediately went to check if Alana was alright, just like Jayden did. Olivia glanced briefly at him when he appeared, then she focused her attention on Alana.

“Alana, are you alright, did she hurt you?” She asked in a concerned tone.
Alana was confused by the woman’s sudden change of focus. Before she could ponder any longer, Olivia had approached her and checked whether she was alright by scrutinizing her whole body; the stare made her feel like a snake was watching her instead.

“No wounds on your hand, right?” Without warning, Olivia snatched her hand. The unsuspecting Alana was stunned, and she quickly retracted her hand back. She cleared her throat and told her. “I am alright.”
