The next day Eddie woke up and Buck was already gone. Probably back to his loft to get some clothes and take a shower. Buck had taken a shower at his house plenty of times. After work before work or even while staying the night. Just not usually in the same bed. He even had some of his things spread around in the Diaz house.
Clothes in a separate draw in Eddie's dresser. That he gave to him, tired of his clothes spread across his floor and furniture. It was Buck's and Buck's alone. So Eddie left it alone. Even if he sometimes got the feeling to peek inside. To see what he had in there. If his shirts still smelled like Buck-
An overnight toothbrush and paste in the bathroom. Even some hair products. It was like Buck was slowly taking up space and making room for himself. And Eddie didn't have a problem with it. At this point they were roommates. Buck added parts to his house and made it more homey.
A picture of the 118 on the walls. A picture of Buck and Chris at the aquarium. Both wearing big grins. That was about three years ago. Back when Buck was injured and he was still on blood thinners. Unable to work as a firefighter. Which was the longest period of his time. Without Buck there to back him up. Comfort him.
There was even a new rug at the front door. A watermelon with a sweet saying that Eddie only imagined southern people had at their front door steps. Not him. But here he was. Doing thing's for Buck he didn't think he'd do for anyone. That is after his and Shannon's separation.
There were parts of Buck all around the house.Small things that felt like it meant more than it actually was. Even the apron. So even if Eddie wasn't with him at the moment it was like Buck was still there. Traces of him around the house and surrounding him.
Pulling himself out of bed he took a semi quick shower. Which was interrupted by thoughts of Buck. When was he not thinking of Buck? How he looked in his perfect red bathing suit. His hair dripped wet and firm. Or the way he felt pressed against his chest. Fingers laced and soft hums coming from him.
Shifting on his feet. An electrical feeling surged through his stomach. Eddie ran a hand through his mop of hair. Eyes shut as he looked up and water hitting his face. He really should stop now. If he continued to think about Buck any more. He was going to break a promise.
Then the thought of how he was just sleeping in the same bed with Buck popped up. He could smell his pineapple cologne. He could feel his legs and arms entrapping him and somehow becoming tangled with his body. With a sigh Eddie leaned against the tiles. His hand slid down from his stomach and to his already hard dick between his legs.
When he got out. It was about time to go so he passed into the kitchen and drank a cup of coffee that Carla had already made. He let out a small noise in appreciation. Carl was like a god sent. After grabbing his coffee he passed into the living room.
She was already there sitting on the couch with Christopher and they both watched some movie about dragons and knights.
He didn't know what he would do without Carla. He didn't know who would watch Chris. It wasn't easy to find a person to watch his son. At least someone he could trust to take care of his son.
Of course he had small doubts in the beginning. As he always did. He only had his family's best interest in mind. Wanted to keep them safe and happy. But Buck was the one to bring Carla into their life's. And he trusts Buck with his and his son's life. He knew he could trust Carla. And she had proved it every day.
Eddie dropped a hand to his son's head and Chris turned up to him. A grin sparking up his face. "Te amo hijo" He whispered before plopping a peck to Christopher's forehead. His hand was still brushing his blondish hair up. Causing the boy to squirm and let out a giggle. Carla watched the two with a small gentle smile.
