2 MONTHS LATER
"Hey Clara, you up for some training later." Derek Morgan spoke walking over to her desk sipping on a coffee.
"Yeah sure, but you know I'm totally going to beat your arse." Clara replied with a large grin not taking her eyes off the paperwork in front of her.
She looked up when Spencer came over.
"Hey guys we've got a case."
"Alright, listen up, everybody. We have a new case. Four victims in three months in South Padre Island, Texas. Each was a male college student on spring break." JJ spoke passing out files.
"Cause of death?" Hotch asked.
"Blunt force trauma to the head. In each case, the victim was found in his hotel room, and there were no signs of forced entry."
"So, the unsub either charmed his way in or the victim invited him in." spence stated.
"Or her." Emily said looking at the file.
Clara looked at he files and skimmed through the words picking up key information.
"No, it's gonna be a guy. Think about it. The unsub would have to be physically strong to incapacitate these victims and carry out the attack." Morgan claimed.
Clara internally rolled her eyes.
"Any suspects?" Rossi asked.
Clara sat curled up on a chair on BAU jet drinking a fruit shoot reading over the file while listening to the conversation.
"Yeah, but it's also pretty remote. If the unsub is local, he could know the area well enough to evade capture." Clara butted in not looking up from the file.
"Or he could be a spring breaker himself, blending in with the thousands of other students." Rossi replied.
