THREE DAYS LATER

Since the team got back to Quantico from the case, they had been pestering Clara about the call she received she brushed it off as not important and luckily for her they left it. The teen spent most of the past three days in the gym training non-stop.

She was currently on a run through the park, running faster than she would normally. The morning sun cast a warm glow over the scene, children playing and families enjoying the day. As she rounded a corner, she spotted a familiar face: Hotch playing with his three-year-old son, Jack.

Clara slowed down, pulling out her earbuds as she approached them. Hotch looked up and noticed her, a mix of surprise and concern flashing across his face.

"Hey, Hotch. Hey, Jack," Clara said, smiling.

"Ra-Ra." Jack giggled and waved a small hand at Clara, clutching a toy truck in the other.

"Clara, I did not expect to see you here. How are you doing?" Hotch asked, smiling but with a hint of worry.

"Just out for a run. you know .Needed to clear my head from all the..," Clara covered jacks ears.

"guts, blood and death." she continued giving hotch a tight smile.

Hotch watched her closely, noting the tiredness in her eyes and the tension in her shoulders.

"Everything okay?" he asked gently.

 She sighed. "I'm just tired."

Hotch's expression softened. He put a hand on Jack's head, guiding him to keep playing nearby.

"Clara, you know you can talk to me about anything, right?" he said seriously.

Clara nodded. "I know, Hotch."

"We will always be here for you. You're part of our family. We care about you. The team cares about you. Jack cares about you. I care about you," Hotch said firmly lowering his voice on the last part.

Hearing his name, Jack looked up and toddled over to Clara, offering her his toy truck. "Play Ra-Ra?" he asked, smiling.

Clara smiled, taking the truck from Jack and ruffling his hair. "Play Jack-Jack."

Hotch knelt down to Clara's level, his tone gentle but insistent. "Clara,  Promise me you'll let me help you if something's going on. We can figure it out together."

Clara looked at Hotch, seeing the genuine concern in his eyes. She felt a weightlifting slightly from her shoulders. "Okay, Hotch. I promise. If there is something wrong I will tell you"

"Good cause I think it would be really boring without you around," Hotch said, smiling.

Clara gave a small, relieved smile. She stood up, handing Jack his toy truck back. "Thanks, Hotch. I should get going. But... I'll see you tomorrow."
