Secrets and Jealousy

As expected, the two of them got to practice late.

Since the girls gym was closer he went to drop her off there, still walking hand in hand, Atsumu swayed their arms back and forth which Yuki found both amusing and fun so she played along.

The two got to the girls gym and Yuki noticed it was locked.

"Atsumu, I think the girls are practicing with the boys today." She spoke calmly.

He wasn't so calm, just how suspicious is it that the two people who were always the earliest to practice show up late at the same time?

It's not that Atsumu was embarrassed of liking Okiwara but he hated when his business was out in public.

The girl, being a private person also felt a similar feeling. She didn't understand why anyone other than her had to know what was happening in her life.

"Ok, let's walk to my gym and we'll see if they're there."

The walked another few seconds to reach the other gym and they heard noise from it, both of the teams were there doing drills, deep into practice since they were pretty significantly late.

"Atsumu, hey." Kita was the first to notice that the setter arrived at practice so he called out to him, not seeing Yuki behind him.

Atsumu tried to raise his right hand to wave but remembered the brunettes hand currently occupied his own.

"Hey captain, so dry I'm late!" He didn't want to let go of the warmth yet so he stayed out as long as possible.

"It's fine, run some laps around the gymnasium for warmup." He stoically said.

Atsumu glanced at the girl behind him and signalled her to come out from behind him.

Sadly, she had to let go of his hand.

"Good morning coach." She walked towards coach Inarizaki who was sitting at his normal bench.

"Hm, both you and Atsumu came late today, that's suspicious." Sanji, the number one Yutsu (Yuki and Atsumu) fan spawned out of nowhere.

"Good morning, Okiwara, you can go warm up outside too." She bowed politely and jogged outside, already dressed in practice clothing, she started running around.

At some point, Atsumu, already on his second lap, caught up to her and they synchronized their run.

No words were told, just enjoying each others company.

After about 5 minutes, the two second years walked back to the gym and joined the team practice, mainly focused on serves and receives.

The late comers only had about 30 minutes of practice before it was time for class but it did drain them since neither slept that night, too busy thinking of one another.

As the girls left to go to their changing rooms, Yuki made eye contact with the blonde and they smiled at one another.

This interaction went unnoticed by everyone other than Atsumu's very own twin who raised and eyebrow at his brothers strange behaviour recently.

After changing, Rize and Yuki made their way to their home room classes.

"Say... Yuki, how come you were late today."

"I slept in." She averted the truth, she only slept a total of 2 hours which doesn't exactly count as sleeping in

"It's such a crazy coincidence that the two early birds of the school both happen to be late today." Rize laughed loudly, failing to notice how her friend immediately stiffened.
