The drive home was anything but quiet. You sat next to Jake in the back of the van, Izzy and Josh up front, and Danny and Sam in the middle seats. The air was thick with excitement and lingering adrenaline from the night's performance. Jake's hand found yours in the darkness, squeezing it gently. You felt a rush of warmth but kept your gaze on the passing streetlights.
"You guys were amazing!" Izzy said, turning around to grin at Josh. "Especially you, Joshy."
"Why thank you, my biggest fan," Josh replied with a smirk. "But seriously, you almost gave me a heart attack with that dress."
"Oh please, you love it," Izzy winked.
"Yeah, but keep it up and I might have to serenade you on stage next time," Josh teased, making Izzy laugh.
"We were alright," Sam said with a fake yawn, earning a playful punch from Danny.
"Don't listen to him. We rocked," Danny said. "Especially when you hit that solo, Jake. It was epic!"
Jake just nodded, squeezing your hand a bit tighter.
As you pulled up to Izzy's house, she turned to you with a mischievous grin. "Sleepover, remember?"
"Right," you nodded, feeling a bit anxious. "See you guys tomorrow," you said, giving Jake's hand one last squeeze before getting out of the van.
Izzy dragged you inside, her excitement palpable. "Okay, spill. What happened with Jake?"
"Nothing, Izzy. We just talked," you lied, not ready to share the intense kiss you'd shared with Jake.
"Talked? You two were gone for a while," she raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, just... talked," you shrugged, avoiding her gaze.
Izzy sighed, clearly not buying it but letting it go for now. "Alright, let's focus on tomorrow. We need to find the perfect outfits for the afterparty."
You nodded, grateful for the distraction. But as you rummaged through Izzy's closet, your mind kept drifting back to Jake.

The next day at school was a blur. You barely heard a word your teachers said, your mind constantly replaying the previous night's events. By the time lunch rolled around, you were a bundle of nerves.
"Hey, Y/N!" Sam called out as you sat down with your lunch tray. "Ready for the afterparty tonight?"
"Yeah, can't wait," you replied, trying to sound enthusiastic.
"Did you finish the chemistry homework?" Danny asked, taking a big bite of his sandwich.
"Uh, yeah. Barely," you admitted. "What about you?"
"Totally winged it," Danny laughed. "But hey, that's future Danny's problem."
Jake slid into the seat next to you, his presence immediately calming your nerves. "Hey," he said softly.
"Hey," you replied, your heart racing.
"Save any answers for me?" Jake asked with a smirk.
"Maybe," you teased back.
"Man, you guys and your homework," Josh said, rolling his eyes. "Who needs it when we're gonna be rockstars?"
"Speak for yourself," Izzy said, nudging him playfully. "I don't want to be the only one graduating."
"Aw, come on, I'll serenade you with a diploma," Josh joked, earning a laugh from everyone.

As the school day ended, you felt the familiar mix of excitement and anxiety. By the time you got to Izzy's house, you were ready to focus on the evening ahead.
"Alright, let's find something killer to wear," Izzy said, diving into her closet.
You chose a sleek black dress that hugged your curves perfectly, hoping to make an impression on Jake. Izzy opted for a bold red number that made her look stunning.
"Wow, you look amazing," Izzy said, eyeing you up and down.
"Thanks. You look incredible too," you smiled.
As you arrived at the afterparty, the atmosphere was electric. The bar was packed with people, the music loud and vibrant. You spotted the guys near the stage, looking relaxed and happy. Jake's eyes met yours as soon as you walked in, and he made his way over to you.
"Hey," he said, his voice soft and full of meaning.
"Hey," you replied, your heart racing.
"Can we talk?" he asked, taking your hand and leading you to a quieter corner of the bar.
You nodded, feeling the tension build between you two.
"About last night," Jake began, looking into your eyes. "I don't want you to think that it didn't mean anything. It meant everything to me."
Your breath caught in your throat. "Jake, I... I feel the same way. But I'm scared. Scared of what this could mean for us."
"I get it," he said, his voice full of understanding. "But I'm willing to take that risk if you are."
You looked into his eyes, seeing the sincerity there. "Okay," you whispered.
He smiled, pulling you into a kiss that felt even more intense than the one before. This time, there was no hesitation, no doubt. Just the two of you, lost in the moment.
As the night went on, you and Jake stayed close, talking, laughing, and stealing kisses whenever you could. The band played another set, and you felt a sense of pride watching Jake on stage, knowing that he was yours
