Jake's POV
The sun had just started to rise, casting a warm golden light through the Kiszka household. Jake stretched and yawned, feeling the familiar excitement of a weekend morning. He could hear Sam and Danny talking animatedly downstairs, probably about the latest addition to their setlist.
As Jake descended the stairs, he saw Josh sipping his coffee, already dressed and looking unusually awake for this hour. "Morning, bro," Jake greeted, grabbing a mug and pouring himself some coffee.
"Morning," Josh replied, a smirk forming on his lips. "You ready for today?"
Jake nodded, taking a sip. "Yeah, definitely. I can't wait to see Y/N."
"Speaking of Y/N, where are the girls?" Sam asked, joining them at the table with a bowl of cereal in hand.
Josh chuckled. "Izzy told me last night they had a sleepover at her place. We should head over there and get them. I'm sure they're still passed out on the couch."
Danny grinned mischievously."Think we should wake them up with a little scare?"
Jake laughed, imagining Izzy's grumpy face in the morning. "I'm in. Let's do it."
The boys quickly finished their breakfast and headed out the door, making the short walk to Izzy's house. Jake felt a flutter of anticipation in his stomach. He loved these spontaneous moments with Y/N and their friends.
When they arrived, the front door was conveniently unlocked. Josh led the way inside, and they tiptoed into the living room. Sure enough, Y/ N and Izzy were sprawled out on the couch, fast asleep, surrounded by popcorn and empty soda cans.
"On three"" Josh whispered, holding up his fingers. "One... two... three!"
"WAKE UP!" they all shouted in unison, making as much noise as possible.
Izzy shot up, her hair a wild mess, and glared at them with a deathly expression. "Ugh! I hate you guys!" she groaned, grabbing a pillow and throwing it at Josh.
Y/N, still half-asleep, blinked up at Jake in confusion. "What's going on?"
Jake couldn't help but laugh.
"Morning, beautiful. We thought we'd come over and start the day with a bang."
Izzy huffed, sinking back into the couch. "This better be good, or l'm going back to sleep.
Josh sat down beside her, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. "Come on, grumpy. We've got a whole day planned. And besides, you can't sleep through all the fun."
Izzy rolled her eyes but couldn't suppress a small smile. "Alright, alright. But someone better make me coffee."
Sam, ever the peacekeeper, headed to the kitchen. "I'm on it." As Sam made coffee, the rest of them settled into the living room.
Danny started rummaging through their DVD collection. "What should we watch?"
Y/N sat up, running a hand through her hair. "How about something funny? I could use a good laugh."
"Comedy it is," Danny said, holding up a DVD. "How about this one?" Danny said holding up the movie "Grown Ups"
"Perfect," Y/N agreed, snuggling into Jake's side as the movie started.
They spent the morning lounging around, talking and laughing. Izzy eventually warmed up, especially after her coffee kicked in.
"So, Jake," Josh said during a lull in the conversation, "what's the plan for the rest of the day?"
