Nightfall. The Vipers return to the volcano base to give the report of the scouting mission. The base was right near a large rock formation that resembled an arch. A few miles away, on the other side of the island, The imps and Parrs make it to the beach where they could stop. Moxxie Millie and Violet climb off of Helen's back, as Dash gets off of her and lays down on her back, allowing Helen to stretch her body back to normal. Moxxie holds the duffle bag in his mouth as Violet climbs on top of his back, with Helen climbing onto Millie's. She looks to her panting son and smiles "what a trooper. I'm so proud of you" Dash smiles as he replies "thanks mom" Moxxie helps Dash onto his back as they the imps head into the jungle, the Parrs riding them like horses. The imps travel for a few minutes, before Moxxie looks to see a large cave in a large mountain. The perfect spot to rest for the night, so, he leads the way into the cave, with Millie following
A minute or so later, they were able to make themselves a campfire of rocks and sticks. Moxxie summons his Chi Dragon, which breathes fire on the pile, making a makeshift fire. Moxxie and Millie lay down like cats, their hands having morphed into hooves, while the Parrs sit down, with Helen explaining to the kids everything about what was going on

"and now" Helen finishes, getting to the end "i think your father might be locked up somewhere" Violet sighs "well when ya put it like that mom, things do kinda make sense" Helen then gets up, and says confidently "I'm going to look for him. And that means Moxxie and Millie are in charge until I get back" Dash looks to his mom and asks in a shocked tone "WHAT?" Millie replies "you heard her young man." Helen then digs into the duffle bag, and gets out a super mask, which she then puts on, before handing the imps and kids masks, saying "put these on" the imps and Dash put their masks on as Violet holds hers, her mom continuing "your identity is your most valuable possession. And if anything goes wrong, use your powers" Violet begins "but you said-" "your mother knows what she said" Moxxie interrupts her "but things are different now. We're in a situation where we have to use our powers"
"Moxxie's right kids" Helen say, before she scoots up to the kids and asks "remember the bad guys, from those shows you used to watch on saturday mornings?" Dash and Violet look to one another, before nodding "Well, these guys are not like those guys. They won't exercise restraint because you're children. They will kill you if they get the chance. Do not give them that chance." Helen replies, before turning to Violet "Vi. i need you to be the mature one to help Moxxie and Millie. I'm counting on you" Violet speaks, with a worried tone "mom, there's something i-" "i'm counting on you" Helen says, with a assurant tone "be strong" Violet looks to her mom, who turns to her little brother and says "Dash, if anything goes wrong, i need you to run as fast as you can" Dash says with an excited tone "as fast as i can?!" Helen nods "as fast as you can!" she then hugs the children, continuing "now, stay hidden, keep each other safe. Hopefully, i'll be back in the morning" with that, she heads out the cave entrance
"Mom?" Helen stops, heating Violet's voice. She turns to see her head up to her, mask at hand, and says, in an ashamed voice, her head down in sorrow "Mom, what happened on the plane, and what happened to Snug, I'm sorry. I I wanted to help. I mean, when you asked me to...I'm sorry." Helen could see the distraught in her daughter's tone, as she felt guilt in her heart with what she put her through. She holds her head up, and replies in a reassuring tone "Shh. It isn't your fault. It wasn't fair for me to suddenly ask so much of you. But, right now, doubt is a luxury we can't afford anymore, sweetie. You have more power than you realize. Don't think, and don't worry. If the time comes, you'll know what to do. It's in your blood." with that, she heads off into the night. Violet looked at the direction her mother went with a surprised expression. That was the first time she actually believed in her. And deep down, she knew that her mom, and Moxxie were right. Things were different now. This was a situation where she had to use her powers. She looks to her super mask, and sighs, she moved her hair back, both her eyes now being visible, and puts her mask on, looking to the direction her mom went, with the same confident expression she had.
Meanwhile, in a large aircraft hanger, Syndrome looks through the glass of a control room, at a massive rocket, the rocket where Omnidroid V10 would be loaded into. He smiles, his plan about to come to fruition. "He's not weak you know" he hears a voice say. He looks back to Mirage, who was holding a binder, writing on a paper on it, with a confused look, and asks "what?" Mirage then says with an upset tone "valuing life, is not weakness" Syndrome says, walking up to her

"Oh, hey. Look, look...if you're talking about what happened in the containment unit, I had everything under control." Mirage turns to her boss and continues "and disregarding it, is not a strength" Syndrome walks right up to her chair, and gently holds her chin, saying "I called his bluff, sweetheart, that's all. I knew he wouldn't have it in him to actually..." Mirage stands up to face Syndrome, interrupting "next time you gamble, bet your own life" as she says that, she shoves her binder at him, before storming off. Syndrome looks to her walking through the door, a confused look on his face.

and here's chapter 16. now as you can see, it's admittedly shorter. that's because it was intentional considering how in the next Chapter, we see Helen back in action. a for Moxxie's dialogue, well, let's just say it's a taste for what's to come for later on. but anyways, i think i'm pretty proud of it. but what do you guys think?
