The trip back to Metroville was anything but a smooth ride. Once Mirage told the Parrs and imps how they would get back from the island, they knew it would be REALLY difficult. So, they took the VW Station wagon, and all but Helen went inside. Mirage set a time for launch as she joined them. Helen climbed atop the wagon, and stretched her limbs to the sides of a black Jet in the rocket, as it then took off through the volcano mouth. They were lucky the rocket's exterior covered them, cause they would've been dead by the time they reached space. The rocket split in half, and the top half re-entered earth's atmosphere as it broke off, the pieces hurdling into the ocean.

From inside, Mirage and Moxxie were at the controls, Bob was in the driver's seat, Millie the passenger, and the kids on one of the tables looking board. Dash then asks his dad "are we there yet?" Bob replies "we get there when we get there!" his tone seemed annoyed, as if he had been asked a few times before. Millie opens the window on her side as wind got in. she pokes her head out and calls out "HOW YA HOLDIN' UP, HELEN!" "DO I HAVE TO ANSWER?!?!" Helen cries out, her tone demonstrating how absolutely PAINFUL her part of the plan was. Millie knew she didn't have to, but knew it didn't have to be long, as they could see Metroville on the horizon. Millie calls out to Moxxie "we're almost there!" Moxxie nods, and then says "okay kids, get ready to strap yourselves down!" Violet and Dash then get on the control chairs on the left side of Moxxie, as they get closer to the city. Bob calls out to Helen "HERE WE GO, HONEY!" Mirage readies herself, and when Millie whistles, it was her cue to push the button that split the black jet apart. Helen shouts in pain as the event unfolded. Millie then climbed out so that Helen could climb through the window and fasten her seatbelt.
"This is gonna be rough!" Bob replies as the Station Wagon plummets. Everyone braces for impact as it slammed to the road, and soon enough, they were on their way to take on Syndrome's creation. They zoom through the streets as Mirage is able to pinpoint Omnidroid V10's location. She tells Bob and Helen "i got it. The Omnidroid's down in the financial district" Bob then replies "okay. Which exit do i take?" Helen replies "Traction Avenue" Bob declines "that'll take me downtown. I take Seventh, don't i?" As he asked that, he drives toward a road on the right side, a sign above it reading 7th Street. Helen shouts "DON'T TAKE 7TH!" forcing Bob to miss, the wagon hiding the divider fence. Bob says "great! We missed it!" Helen replies "you asked me how to get there, and i told you! Exit at traction!" Bob then repeats "that'll take me downtown!" Helen looks out the window and sees the sign that led to Traction Avenue. She calls out "it's coming up! Get in the right lane! SIGNAL!" Bob shouts "WE DON'T EXIT AT TRACTION!" Helen shouts back "YOUR GONNA MISS IT!" Bob shouts as he turns the steering wheel, and they take the right lane, passing numerous vehicles, and scratching the station wagon's side on the dividers. Bob slams the breaks, but they were going too fast, as the station wagon slams it's behind on another car. Moxxie and Millie shout in fright as this occurs, and Bob tries turning the station wagon. When they make it to a clear part of the road, Bob slams both feet on the breaks, and it works, as the tires cease, smoke coming from them as they scrape against the concrete. The station wagon turns to the right behind first, before ka-POW! They start spinning and tumbling, wrecking the station wagon from the outside, before coming to a stop on the side of the road, and to Moxxie's surprise, at a perfect parallel park. Everyone takes a breath as Bob asks "is-is everybody okay back there?" Millie shakes her head and thumbs up "we're alright" Mirage helps Moxxie up as Violet adds "Super duper dad!" Dash laughs as he says "let's do that again!" "NO! Never again." Moxxie denies, before falling in Millie's arms "next time, i'm taking the wheel" before they all laugh for a moment
