Months later
It was a nice, and shiny summer morning. The mourning doves were making their noises at like a million times a minute. A female figure walked up a hill, and came face to face with 4 graves. The woman was holding 4 differently colored flowers.
The woman's name is Marcie Douglas.Ok, I don't even know why I bothered getting a narrator. That was stupid. This is my book, so we're back to me. Not to sound selfish or egotistical or anything but the narrator was just to set the scene.
"You know what these different colored flowers stand for?" I asked out loud.
I walked up to the first grave. It had the name Dylan Skars on it. I sat down a white flower in front of the grave. "The white flower is for Reverence. I can't put it into words how much I respect you, Dyl. Everything you've been through, and you still treated everyone like they were your friend. Thank you so much" I said, from the heart.I moved over to the next grave. It has Clarice Thompson written on it. I placed a yellow flower on her grave. "Yellow is for Friendship. You were my best friend 15 years ago, same with when I was in the basement. You always fought for me, even to defeat The Scar Man. I love you, Clarice" I said, damn near tearing up when I spoke.
I moved to the next grave. It had Thomas Clawn written on it. I placed a pink flower on the grave. "Pink is for Gentleness. You treated your wife like she was a princess, and you didn't treat anyone unfairly. Thank you"
Finally, I moved to the last grave. On the stone, was written the name: Josephine Newthorn. I sat down a blue flower. "I chose the blue flower for you because it's for Peace. The pain is gone, Josy. You can rest now, it's all over" I said, and stood up. I turned around and the four of them were standing behind me.
"Thank you, Marcie. For everything" Josephine said, and then she hugged me. I didn't let go for a little bit. After we ended the hug, Josephine and the rest of them walked away before disappearing into the air. But one question wandered in my mind.
What happened to the tree?
