Chapter 5 The Problems and Travel

*Group POV*
The next morning when Nave woke up he saw the others standing over him and Charlie with a smug look on their faces "so...who tops?" asked Mullac trying not to laugh, Nave about to cause a fight with Mullac was stopped when Charlie started to wake up and questioned why they were looking at us like that Nave replied with "they are just leaving the pendejos." Mullac, understanding it, started yelling at him in Spanish "A quién llamas idiota, el único aquí eres tú. cabeza de mierda perezosa." Nave then replied in Spanish "Vale, lo siento Jesús, no sabes cómo aceptar una broma, ¿verdad? Oye, al menos sé cómo decirle a la gente que eres gay en lugar de ser tranquilo y tener que decirles cuándo quieren salir contigo." They then converted back into English so the others could understand them. "I'm going hunting." said Mullac then Nave replied with "I'm going to take a walk around the house if you need me." They both stormed out the barn, Mullac going out the back, Nave going out the front (Shut up with what you're suggesting.) The others wondering what to do decided that "You and Abigail should check on Mr Killgore and I should check on Mr Marston." Suggesting Charlie they agreed with that idea and so they went their separate ways to check how the Two Knumbskulls are doing.

*Charlie and Nave's POV*
When Charlie got to the house she saw Nave sitting on an old wooden chair in the kitchen with a bottle of Jack Daniels whisky in his hand Charlie sat down next to him with two whiskey glasses and offered to give Nave who was 1 litre in from a 3.5 litre jack daniels when seen the offering he accepted the offer. Nave poured Charlie 1.75 litres and himself 0.75 litres and took small sips then they started talking "so how long do you know Mr Killgore?" Nave replied with "i've known that..." he then paused and hiccuped then continued "i've known him for 4 years...I stuck by his side he stuck by mine...Arik knew them for 3 years... Joseph knew him when we were in primary school... I only met Abigail 2 days ago. Hell only met you just yesterday." he said whilst continuing to drink the whiskey Charlie then patted his head and rubbed his back since he was about to cry. Nave feeling this embrace hugged her and told her "thank you." she then asked "for what?" he then replied with "for taking care of me and the others...where it should've... where it should've been the other way round." Charlie, feeling some guilt, replied with "well you guys took care of me...so this is a payment for your services." Nave then told her "you don't owe us anything...besides if respect is bought that aint respect its useless so don't be...guilty you should always give people respect... if they did bad things they don't deserve respect... good people, those are the people you should respect... if there are any left." The next moment later Nave is asleep on Charlie's lap and of course she carried him back to the barn and laid him down on the hay and laid him on her legs still and would remember doing this with her ex...before he passed from lung cancer.

*Charlie, Joseph and Abigail's POV*
When the Mullac Finders came back they were carrying three rabbits, a deer and Mullac who is past out drunk from a bottle of vodka they placed the animal carcasses on the floor and placed Mullac in the same place as an already sleeping Nave when they seen each other eye to eye they were exhausted mostly Joseph and Abigail they sat down placing Mullac on Josephs legs as Abigail came to learn that Mullac was Gay and Joseph is Bi but Mullac doesn't know it yet they sat down and just wondered why they shouted at each other like why would they fight. Charlie, who was curious then asked "who's Arik? Like what happened to them?'' Both of them stared at her and at the boys then understood why they acted that way "it's because of Arik's death... they are going through the stages of grief... Nave's in denial and bargaining and Mullac is accepting their death." explained Joseph with the sudden realisation the others then connected the dots the way they acted on the way from then till now.

*Nave and Mullac's POV*
Nave and Mullac woke up they stared at each other, got up with a strong headache and walked out the barn having no recollection on what happened they found the others cooking up the rabbits and deer from Mullac's hunt Charlie seeing the boys greeted them and served them a cup of water to waking themselves up.

*Group POV*
When they sat down the stayed at least 6 feet away from another Joseph went up to Mullac to see if he is okay and if he wants a rabbit or deer for breakfast then Charlie sitting next to Nave asked "do you want a rabbit or deer for breakfast." Nave responded with "Rabbit please." Charlie went to the spit roast of the rabbit and grabbed two parts of a rabbit one for him and one for herself. She then handed Nave the cooked Rabbit and enjoyed it, sure it could've used salt and pepper but non the less it was good. After they ate the food they got up and cared for the horses one particular horse seemed to like Nave than the others which shocked Charlie since the horse doesn't like any other folk so Nave cautiously went to pat it and then patted it more then the horse grew attached to Nave for some reason that couldn't be explained. "So have any of you rode a horse before?" Abigail, Joseph and Charlie raised their hands which only left Mullac and Nave being the only two who hadn't rode a horse so with the spare time that they had taught the two semi-hungover gentlemen how to ride a horse. Hours go by and they finally handle how to ride and take care of a horse. Next thing you know the hoots began up again startling the horses the group started to calm them down the group then gathered everything up and started to ride west till they reached Whitburn.
