A MAFIA'S TREASURE

CHAPTER 8

Damien was pacing around his room . He couldn't get his thoughts straight . Every single time he closed his eyes all he saw was Miranda , every single detail about her . How she looked like when she saw Milo , the cute voice she made when she talked to Milo , when she ran around with Milo , when she looked at him as he offered her a hand . How she kept talking about the book he gave her , how she kept losing sight of reality as she talked about the book .

She really was breath taking .If he could just , just maybe just but he kept wondering if she ever felt the same . He wanted to see her again . The feeling was gnawing at his brain . He couldn't take it anymore , so he got out of his room making his way to Miranda's room . A peak wouldn't hurt right .  The door wasn't closed so he got in and closed it gently .

"Hey" , he almost jumped at hearing her . "You're still awake , at this time", he said . "Well you are too so that makes the both of us", she said . "Anyway what are you doing in here", she said . Shoot he was caught in the act . "I was just wondering if you were asleep cause i couldn't sleep and everybody is probably sleeping except Felipe he is always working", he said .

"Ohh okay", she said . "What do you have there", he asked . "Well i'm holding a book called midnight stead she", said ," wow you read that" he asked . "Yeah a story about a rider and his horse , well the horse is really untaimable but it meets the perfect companion" we said at the same time.

You read it too she said . Yeah really passionate book  so what about the book i gave you he said . Ohh that i'm done with it she said . Ayy what you're done with it he said . Ummh quite a good book really , when it comes to good books i can't get enough , the hours spent in this room were spent well .

I admire you M i really do that breaks my record it took two weeks to finish that book he said . Aww that really is a record she said mocking him . Are you mocking me he said . I didn't do nothing she said raising her hands . Pshh thats only because i was working i read it on my free time he said . You know i finished three ships of the Carribian in a day he continued . Aww are you trying to defend your honour  she said .

Do you know how much pages that book has he said , hmm approximately 975 pages my good sir she said . Ogh come one  you read that too he said , yep took me twelve hours to finish it she said throwing a smirk at him . Are you sure you're human he said well after reading the dark arcadia i dont think so she said .

29 hours a book with 1577 pages is no joke she said . Of course it isn't i have respect for M you are amazing he said . Thanks so what else do you like other than book she said , you he said
. Ahh what...i.i mean you you should start i dont think i'm that interesting he said

I don't think i'm interesting either she said . I guess we'll have to find out along the way he said . Yeah guess so i should probably get to bed she said .
Night M he said night . Damien walked out and Miranda was left alone once again . She jumped back into bed and spent another hour trying to sleep but nothing .

But what the heck was missing she spent a few more minutes trying to figure it out .

Miranda's point of view

Seconds turned into minutes , minutes turned into an hour i still couldn't sleep . My head started throbbing and i couldn't get up to read again . I just had enough of words . Wait yesterday i slept perfectly , what was wrong now .
Maybe it's the room , the bed ,the pillows .

I got up and walked out of the room . I'm not keen on site seeing this time.
This time the hall was light up this time . I walked down the stairs as if i knew what i wanted , i was parched but i walked to the library . Maybe the person i needed was there . I opened the door slowly and i found Damien the guy i would look for but actually i wanted someone else .

I closed the door more slower than a sloth . And walked off to the kitchen .
I really needed that glass of water . I grabbed a glass and poured myself a cold glass . You should probably drink warm water instead of cold .
I looked over to see Felipe holding what i assume was a glass of whiskey .

I think ... no i dont know anymore i said . My headache was slowly taking over . And he was right i probably shouldn't have drank cold water cause the cold also started kicking in .
I didn't notice but Felipe had already left , a second after noticing i felt someone get a hold of my hand .

And as i looked up it was Felipe he dragged me into his room and closed the door . I probably should turn back and as i turned to open the door . He pushed it closed again and engulfed me in a hug . You are cold he said . I was too stunned to speak . I froze and why the heck was my kidnapper hugging me .

I slowly pulled out of the hug . You can't sleep can you he said . No i can't i said . And silence took over . He left and i took in the room again it was probably bigger than mine but with the stuff in it , it gave a more smaller feel . Was it just me or the temperature in this room kept dropping . And the bed was right there but no ways was i going to get in  .

I turned on my heels and attempted to open the door and it was locked . Felipe walked back in and i was too busy trying to open the door .

Felipe's point of view

I turned down the aircorn to make it more chilly . It was probably the most absurt thing but i already noticed she has sleeping problems . And i was trying to test out a theory and if it worked i would've cracked the code to get her to sleep .

I walked back into the room to find her struggling with the door . I slipped into bed and just waited for the trap to snap shut . Probably a few minutes passed and she was still out there . She must be resis... hmm and there she was she slipped into bed shivering  .

I felt sorry that she had to endure that . She kept shaking , i turned the AC too high . Minutes passed and she kept shaking it was clear she wasn't asleep so i decided that was enough . I pulled her closer to me . And she snuggled deeper . And when our skin made contact , a shiver went up my spine . Her feet were frozen , she won't fall asleep this cold so i pulled her in more . Its what she needed and she fell asleep .

Theory proven .
