CHAPTER 27

Felipe's point of view

Now I regret buying that puppy for her . How dare she give all her attentions to books and animals more than me .

The deal with Larmano is still supposed to be my number one priority but i just can't get my mind off her , her coming with me might have been a terrible mistake but leaving her alone also put her at risk .And Scott was still on the run dealing with him is actually more tricky than i thought . And the newer model is still a work in progress .

Jacob had sent the file i needed yesterday about Miranda's parents and i needed to look into it . Miranda walked back in with a bunch of snacks she put them down on the bed and checked each one for some thing the puppy got off her lap jumping off the bed and i thought it would break its neck by it somehow managed . It made it's way to my foot and started fighting with my pants , tugging and biting . It would wait for me to move my foot then it would attack .

I think i like this one it's smart . Got it Miranda said holding a bag of biscuits . Got what exactly i asked her . What the puppy could eat she said finally looking at me . So that's what the snacks are for i said raising a  brow . Mhm she said calling the puppy to her . If you actually want to feed her there is more in that box i said pointing at it .

Okay but for now i want to just give him a snack she said . I was on my way to sit next to her but the dog kept fighting with my pants . Miranda tell your dog to let go i said . Mhm nope that's how it learns how to defend i think she said tilting her head . I heaved up a sign and picked up the dog putting it on the bed . And I sa I down next to her .

Miranda picked up the puppy and put it on my lap . It suits you more she said holding her chin . The only thing that suits me is you I said . The puppy got of me making its way to the other snacks in the bed , he got his paws on a bag of chips and fought with them until they bursted open . Miranda squealed and picked up the puppy getting it away from the spilled chips . I got up to get a vacuum to remove the snacks .

And when I was done i put it back . I sat back down but I didn't expect Miranda to kiss me . Thanks she said scratching the dogs ears . For the snacks or the dog . The dog of course . I guess I could make an exception for that dog if it meant i get kisses i said scratching the dogs chin . Miranda giggled and pecked me on the cheek . This dog might have actually been the greatest idea I've come up with .

I'm going to take a shower Miranda said letting go of the puppy . Can i join i said as the puppy climbed on my lap . No she said looking at the both of us . What do you mean no Mrs Dartanian . You know exactly what I mean she said and left . And it was just me and the dog . What are you looking at i said at the dog that was starring at me .

The dog got off and made it's way to Miranda it clawed on the door and Miranda opened the door letting it in . What in the world was that did that dog just steal my wife . I got up making my way downstairs , to my office . I got a hold of the file Jacob sent about Miranda's parents . Opening it a photo of a couple was the first thing i saw , i picked it up looking at it properly .

I assumed the couple was Miranda's parents , the woman had similar features as Miranda and the father had the same hair colour and eyes . I put it aside to look at the actual information i received . Says here they were murdered on the 16th of June which i already know .

Maybe I should just ask Miranda about her uncle . And thats when a realisation hit . Miranda does not have an uncle , i doesn't say anywhere and my father never mentioned Luke or Catharn having a brother . Catharn is an only child so and Luke had a sister so how could it be , who is this man .

Got up from the chair with a photograph of the man in my hand making my way to see Miranda . And when I got there i had to wait for about 20 minutes until she came out . Hey she said the dog trailing behind her . She wrapped her body with one of the towels , he hair wet and she was barefoot . Do you know this man I said handing her the photograph .

Her smile dropped for a split second but she went back to the same smile . Nope i don't she said handing it back . Alright then wht did he do I said looking at her . I already said I don't know him . Did he ever try to hurt you . What , what are you talking about she said tilting her head .

Tell me Miranda i said getting off the bed . I already s...if you don't i will find out either way i said interrupting her . She heaved up a heavy sigh . I don't want to talk about it she said running her hand through her hair . You know you can , as long as i live no one and i mean no one all ever hurt you . Wow that's being a little overprotective dont you think she said . The is no one more important than the person infront of me right now .

Thanks she said . Anytime i said leaving the room . He works for the Russians Miranda said and i quickly turned . He will kill me if he founds out i told someone she said rubbing her neck . Not on my watch , is that all you know about him . He , he was also there the night of my parents murder . You saw him . Yes I did at least that's what I remember . Did he ever do something to you .

Well he umh he said I contained something that might end them she said looking down . And what is it i said getting closer . I don't know all i just know is that my parents death was related with a weapon that could bring them down she said on the verge of crying . Do you know where he is i asked holding her shoulders . No all i know is I must know he is always watching she said .

I pulled her in for a warm embrace and i could feel the tears staining my shirt , there was no sound whatsoever . We are going to find him okay when i will make sure he pays . Even of he dies they will always be after me she said . No they won't you have me and i a weapon forged against all odds i said . Yeah right her voice came out muffled.

I love you Miranda i said and she shot her head up.  Since when do you say stuff like that she said mocking me . Haha very funny , get dressed we are going somewhere i said letting go . But I'm so tired she whined . I looked at her with no emotion and she just folded her arms in protest . You really know how to get to me I said hanging my head low before looking back at her . Two hours of rest nothing more nothing less i said .

Is that an ultimatum she said confused . By now you would already know i said sitting back down . And there it was again the tugging and pulling of a little defenceless creature . This dog really has a grudge i said picking it up in a manner that Miranda wouldn't like . What the heck are you doing you're going to hurt him Miranda said grabbingthe puppy from me . Women and dogs what's so special about dogs .
