A cry filled the room as a baby was born. The world itself seemed to respond to his birth as lightning flashed and thunder boomed. The rain seemed to pour down heavier. The Earth itself seemed to groan and tremble at that very moment.

The woman looked into the child's eyes. Beautiful sea green eyes that seemed to hold the power of the ocean stared right back at her. She felt a hand on her shoulder and a kiss on her cheek as she looked beside her to see an identical set of eyes to her baby's.

"He looks just like you, Poseidon," the woman started, "I hope we can give him the life he deserves."

"Sally, that is rarely ever the case. I just hope that Tyche may favor every waking moment of his life," Poseidon responded.

A cold, empty feeling filled the room.

Far away, the Moirai looked upon the boy with great interest. There was no string for them to cut. There was no destiny. The boy is shrouded from even the eyes of Ananke. A voice startled them.

"You three realize he is the one who will wake my father, don't you?" Chaos began, "He will be the one who will make our family whole. I can feel his presence shifting at this very moment, something I haven't felt since the beginning of the Golden Age."

The Creator looked upon his three granddaughters. They exchanged glances between each other. Clotho broke the silence.

"The boy is the one, isn't he?" asked Clotho.

"The boy is the one to bring peace across the universe once and for all?" Lachesis continued from her sister's question.

"The boy is the one who will take the mantle of hero and king, the one who will lead us to victory over the dark dimension, where only your father has been?" finished Atropos.

"Only time will tell children."

Back in the hospital, Poseidon started to sweat. This feeling was something that he had never experienced before. It was like there was a vacuum that sucked up all of the heat and emotion in the room, like space itself. As quickly as the feeling washed over him, it vanished.

"His name will be Perseus Achilles," Sally finally decided, "A name fit for a hero."

There was a flash just outside the door. Three people walked in. A doctor with sandy blonde hair and a radiant smile, with blue eyes that held both knowledge and kindness, a woman with honey blonde hair and a fierce, piercing gaze with gray eyes that look like they could kill you, and a brunette with seashells throughout her hair with ocean blue eyes that seemed to reflect the stormy conditions outside.

"I can see why you fell for her, love." the seashell lady said.

Sally was at a loss. She had no idea who these individuals were. Suddenly, it clicked for one of them. The woman with seashells in her hair had called Poseidon love. This was no ordinary woman. This was Amphitrite, goddess of the sea, the Queen of Atlantis, and Poseidon's wife.

Everyone looked upon Sally as she visibly paled.

"Peace, Sally." Amphitrite soothed, "I approve of you. Poseidon has been nothing but caring and loving to me. I have not been around enough recently to show him any compassion. He deserves someone like you in his life, and it has helped me realize how much I have neglected my family. I am forever in your debt. Anytime you are in need, the sea will gladly accept you."

Sally relaxed. Poseidon's eyes had grown wide at Amphitrite's words. In the past, she had been a vengeful, hateful goddess, especially towards his own affairs and demigod children.

"Uncle P, I have sensed something odd surrounding my awesome new cousin. It's as if destiny bends around him. I can't see any glimpses into his future. I don't know what this means. All I know is that it makes him dangerous." Apollo chimed in, "Sally, I'm so sorry for being rude. You can call me Apollo. As an Apollo-gy, I would love to bless my little cousin."

Sally gained a confused look. Why was a god, an Olympian, giving her a son such a huge gift for something as little as forgetting an introduction.

"You will do no such thing to my son, nephew." Poseidon aggressively stated, "He has a hard life ahead of him already."

"Relax unc. This will make his life easier. It doesn't effect his scent whatsoever. Besides, I was asking Sally, since she will be the one who raises him." Apollo responded.

"I would be honored if you would bless my son, Lord Apollo." Sally said.

"None of that formal stuff Sally." Apollo said casually as he faced his palms towards Perseus, "Εγώ, ο Φοίβος Απόλλων, θεός του ήλιου, του φωτός, της θεραπείας, της ασθένειας, της πανούκλας, της μουσικής, της τέχνης, της ποίησης, της τοξοβολίας, της λογικής, της γνώσης, της αλήθειας και της προφητείας, ευλογώ τον Περσέα Αχιλλέα Τζάκσον με τις δυνάμεις των περιοχών μου."

A soft yellow light began to emit from Apollo's hands and seemed to flow into the baby's body. The room began to heat up, like they were being bathed in sunlight. When the light faded, the room returned to its normal temperature.

"Hopefully this makes lil cuz a hit with the ladies. If not, I'm not sure what I would do." Apollo joked.

The third unidentified person snorted.

"I don't think your twin would approve of you saying that, brother." said the woman, "Sally, my name is Athena, and I would like to pull Poseidon outside for a second if you don't mind."

"Nice to meet you Lady Athena. And it's no problem." Sally responded.

Athena stepped outside the room into the hallway, with Poseidon hesitantly following behind her. When Poseidon closed the door, Athena turned to him, her piercing gaze making him slightly nervous.

"I can see why you broke the oath." Athena started, "I won't be telling father about him. I have a feeling he will be the child of the prophecy. While Zeus' daughter is older than Percy, I have a feeling that might not last."

That last sentence saddened Poseidon. He hated that children of the gods died like that. He also knows that he is partially at fault, as his children being born is usually a death warrant.

"Your son will be the one who saves us all. I am willing to bless him as well. He is our best chance at surviving the prophecy. I hope that he will use my blessing well." Athena finished before pushing past Poseidon to go back into the room.

Poseidon was left dumbfounded. Two other Olympian gods blessing a child of the big three was basically unheard of. Especially Athena blessing one of his own children. Maybe this child would solve the rift between Olympus once and for all. With that thought, Poseidon reentered the room, where Athena was beginning to bless his son.

"Εγώ, η Παλλάς Αθηνά, η θεά σοφία, ο πολιτισμός, τα μαθηματικά, η στρατηγική, ο αμυντικός πόλεμος, οι χειροτεχνίες, οι τέχνες, οι δεξιότητες, η ευφυΐα και η λαμπρότητα, ευλογώ τον Περσέα Αχιλλέα Τζάκσον με τις δυνάμεις των περιοχών μου." Athena chanted as a dull gray glow filled the room. The faint smell of a library filled the room and dissipated when the light faded.

"Sally, I know this is going to be hard, but the Ancient Laws state that-" Poseidon began.

"It's okay honey. I understand. Perhaps I will see you in the future. I love you." Sally cut him off.

With that, Poseidon and Amphitrite disappeared into mist. Athena walked out of the room and flashed away.

"Stay safe lil cuz." Apollo whispered as he stared at the mother and her child, "I will always watch over you as long as the sun is out. Good luck."

With that, the god turned and walked out of the room before flashing away, leaving Sally and Perseus in silence.
