SUMMARY: hes eating lunch alone 😢😢

there was a new kid at half- blood camp, rumors have been going around. some are insane and you don't know who to believe at this point, so you don't listen to anyone and you decide to get out of your comfort zone and talk to someone besides the other people in the demeter cabin.

his name was percy jackson, apparently he killed a minotaur but as you said your not trusting anything until you hear it from him yourself.

lunch was normal, you eat some of your food then burn it. you sat with your usual bunch of people, demeter kids. as a child of demeter you just hang around other demeter kids because you think they get you more.

while your eating you think of a list of multiple scenarios that could happen when you talk to him.

1. he thinks your weird and just walks away

2. he makes fun of you

3. he matches your vibe but then the demeter kids kick you out and then he gets sick and tired of you and then your left alone so you have to eat with the bugs.

while you were thinking you saw him, sitting alone and looking around while just eating his food.

your friends were all talking to one another and they won't notice if your gone right? right.

you stood up, taking your plate as you nervously sat down in front of him. he looks up at your nervously and curiously.

he looks around "uhhhh..."

you forgot you didn't say anything and just sat down, crap.

"uhm... hi. i'm y/n. your percy jackson right?" you wanted to stick out your hand for a handshake but he didn't look like the physical touch type of guy.

"yeah... so uh why'd you come here?"

"oh-! i just saw you were eating lunch alone and i thought 'boy if that was me i'd cry' haha... ha. so yeah. also did you really kill that minotaur? and did you beat up clarisse la rue? oh and are you or are you not a... homosexual...?"

he was a bit surprised at your massive and quick paced rambling but processed it all "yes, sort of and no."

you smiled and just ate your food.

"you seem cool. wanna be friends? and sorry if i came off strong i just get nervous."

"no yeah that's totally cool i get nervous all the time. but we should."

once he agreed to be your friend you let out a sigh of relief and stopped being so nervous and then got comfortable immediately.

"is your hair real?" you said and stared at his huge fluffy ball of hair

"yeah i'm afraid so." he laughed a little. well this went extremely well.

(also i just watched inside out 2 i was trying to give y/n like anxiety vibes????😭😭)
